That Bleach chapter is terrible. With all that power It makes no sense that the Quincy King was previously defeated by Soul Society. Does Kubo even remember what he wrote?

He should hurry and wrap this up.

I know right. This is one of the worst cases of making it up as they go along I've seen and it's so painfully obvious. They made the quincy out to be a small weak ignorant faction fighting hollows at the start who were all buy extinct and now they are these omega fighters capable of fighting on par with bankais and there's a **** ton of them...

The whole thing with him fighting the strongest soulreaper is pointless... We all know the soul reaper is going to lose so why waste the time? (Making way for Ichigo to come and save the day for the 20th time) Bleach is full of some of the worst story telling I've ever seen ATM.

It's still being translated very slowly as of right now but someone that can read Japanese is actually doing a femc/Gil text playthrough.

Clannad After Story continues to surprise me. I figured that it would be either 6 or 12 episodes long, but nope, it has 20+ episodes 

 

I'm 9 episodes into it and I haven't needed to pull out the old Kleenex box yet, I also don't have any outstanding questions for the series at this point, so I feel like I am going to be satisfied with whatever sort of ending the show gives me.

 

The oddity and mystical elements of the show is well done. The characters, plot and the setting continues to impress. 

 

Also, the show has Sunohara going for it. Sort of

Kannon, another Key anime, has Sunohara's exact clone but with brown hair instead.

Has the same dub VA.

 

It's freaky.

Sunohara isn't the hero that the world needs, but deserves.

Well yes and no.

 

Fate/Extra as a game is quite... broken shall we say, since while it tries to work as a Persona game, it falls in the middle of a RPG and a VN. The story and characters are great, as is to be expected of Fate material, but the gameplay is very repetitive and frankly not that good really. You basically play it for the story, so I'd recommend checking a playthrough on YT. Did so myself, have no regrets.

I still bought it and played through the game with every servant but gameplay wise it's really not that great, far from it. Hell I even needed to take a break before I did my last run through the game because the first two runs felt really repetitive.

 

I would still totally buy Fate extra CCC if it would get localized because I just like the universe that much and because people that played the game told me that the story from Fate extra CCC is amazing.

Not sure if Nasu is behind every project when it comes to story, but Fate certainly has some great story telling in them and in so many of their installments.

Cool, let's hope it manages to be as good as Stay Night at least". Turns out Hollow Ataraxia was even better in almost every aspect!Then comes along this phenomenal prequel Zero, followed by Fate/Extra and now Apocrypha. 

 

It is good to be a Fate fan when you got some quality products to enjoy. Dunno about Fate/Kaleid Illya Prisma, though I've heard it is good as well.

Nasu wrote Fate StayNight, Fate Extra CCC, Fate HA, wrote the basic story behind F/Z and let the Gen do the rest and finally he also wrote a few servants along Gen for Apocrypha.

 

Don't quote me on that last one though. I remember someone saying that in a thread but I don't have a source on that.

 

I still need to complete Fate HA but I put it on hold because I want to read it with voices. I do know the plot behind it.

 

I don't read Fate/Kaleid Illya myself but I personally prefer Illya the way she is in Fate StayNight.

Glad you're enjoying Clannad so much Vroom! The last bit you're coming up on is 10/10 storytelling, and some of the best SoL I've seen in anime to date.

Actually THAT I do agree on. It's probably the closest thing to filler LOTGH has. Oskar's (I'll use his first name because his last is a b*tch) rebellion could have used a lot more build up. It just doesn't seem natural that such a competent commander would fight under an irrational cause. I think it might have to do with budget or even time, so maybe the novels were far better in this case. Pride and ambition are one thing, but impossible odds are another, a great general fights to win and nothing else. So that entire arc could have used a far more gradual development for Oskar and his plans. In fact, I think the whole thing should have at least lasted 10 episodes with a few wins for Oskar.
 
The only redeeming quality is that the show is tragic. So it's very fitting with the tone of the series.
 
Perhaps on a second watch (which I think I'll do early next year) the hints of Oskar's ambition are far more apparent. It always helps to watch things a second time. I bet there are lots of subtleties in LOTGH that can be overlooked first-time-round.

Yup, hence why I have quite an issue with it.

Reuenthal's ambitions were quite prominent throughout the show and were taken up several times, once directly by Reinhard. During the battle of Vermillion he debated with himself whether or not he should aid Reinhard or take advantage of the situation, but thought better of it. It also gets brought up several times during inner monlogue with him that he aspires to greater things. But even when he was ambitios, he never showed signs of being blinded by it and always thought things through and what would be the best course of action.

Sadly this wasn't the case with his rebellion, and I could have accepted it to some extent since his reasoning wasn't that far from idiocy, but when the show had him going directly to face Mittermeyer, that was the last straw. Still like the guy, but not as much as I'd would want to.

I just finished Eureka Seven last night.. Now I'm all depressed. Like I'm happy how it ended, but I'm sad that it ended. I'm really debating on whether or not I want to watch Ao. On one hand, I want more of Eureka. On the other hand, I heard it ruins the happy ending of the first series.. Ugh. This sadness needs go away though!
