I should have a decent chunk saved up by then, assuming I still have a job and all that fun stuff lol you should come to the Calgary convention if you ever can! It's in like March or April though, and admittedly it's not as good as the one in Edmonton generally speaking.

Mmm I miss when the anime conventions here use to be a bit more low key. Now there's thousands of people crammed into one spot at a time and you need to wait an hour in line just to get into a vendors room... and there's multiple rooms for it

Is that a recent thing...? AX was basically just pretty empty like 4 years ago, lots of space to move around... last year it sold out and there were 2x the number of artists selling stuff, pretty chaotic.

Yeah that **** drives me nuts for some reason. I know I should enjoy it but it just takes away from the story for me. Stuff like that is the main reason I can't bring myself to watch it.

 

I was admittedly fine with it in KLK though cause it sort of fit the tone of the show well... *shrugs*

Artists have their entire own section now. Tbh it's the one part of that last convention I went to that didn't disappoint me.. I bought like 15 posters and prints XD

 

 

but yeah I remember when total attendance for a 3 day convention were like in the lower hundreds (like 10 years back) now it's like mid thousands. It is mostly recent, like in the last 5 years or so.
