Wooo Mushishi! That was one of those surprisingly brilliant animes for me. It's one of my recent favorites.
That good, huh? Ok, will get to it sooner rather than later then. Think I might have the chance before the year's end.

It's really slow though so it takes a bit of focus to get through. Because of this it took me a while to get through.
*sigh*
As much as I love my family and relish the very, very rare occasions I can visit them (study abroad, only visited my family for around four weeks total in this entire year, with the better part of the year past then), visiting them also means a total lack of anime for me.
Then again, it also means an entire library worth of Hagar the Horrible, Lucky Luke, Asterix & Obelix is at my disposal to read for the umpteeth time. Plus of course, the immeasurable luxury of solid cooking, every day. Also, the cat. I will cuddle that fuzzy furball to near death and bring him an empty box.
And my sister is a certified physiologist, that means professional massages, for free (well okay, I'll have to coerce her with sweets, but massages, man!).
... why did I miss anime again?
Oh right. F/Z Rider. Well, he can wait. The known world wasn't conquered in a single day too.
Great review, as always, Chewin! Especially liked this particular part:
Lastly, Archer's confrontation regarding Shirou's belief system was a nice addition and one that I hoped that the show would do. Fate/Stay Night is in essence a show that focuses on moral maturation, which is a stark contrast to Zero which had a stronger emphasis on moral conation and perception. Zero includes adults with a firm ideology and moral mindset, but Stay Night has kids who doesn't, since they haven't had time to fully come to terms what they really stand for, nor have they had it challenged in any meaningful way. This is what lies in the heart of Stay Night, specifically for Shirou whose values undergo a number of permutations as the show goes along.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head, and which is why I personally prefer Stay Night over Zero. Sure, there are other aspects as well, but I find these types of stories, that focuses on underdogs / characters that starts weak and eventually develops into something greater and or stronger to be more interesting, and Stay Night delivers it in a very meaningful way.
Zero and Stay Night are similar, but quite different shows really and you have to have a different mind set when watching it I find.
Spoiler
See my post after that.

Holy chessus that was a ton of pages since I went to bed. Must've been like 7-8 pages and that without bro!
(Personally I like Sinon a tad bit more tbh)
Was almost even tempted to watch SAO before my better senses returned to me..
GODOKA DAMMIT ISI!
DON'T
YOU
START
WITH
SAO!

Also about more statues.. Yeah I've totally been looking on some and might pick up one or two. So many to choose from!
So I finally caught up on all the things.
SAO 2
Mothers rozario is a really good arc. I don't really have many complaints for it. I could have done without the ******* cliffhanger for the next season though.
Mushishi zoku shou 2
A great final send off for the series. While the first part was a little average it did get much better later.
Log horizon 2
It's log horizon not much to say really. The whole plan coming together is nice though the pacing still feels a little off.
Psycho pass 2
Great ending though it feels like set up for the movie and the lack of Ko is still a little disappointing.
Selector spread Wixoss.
I was a little worried but it ended in a good way. Mostly. I feel a the effects on the world due to what happened did not get enough explanation.

New Akame chapter up.
F/Z Caster and his Master run on undiluted troll logic. It's like the author took a look at the internet before conceptionalizing those two.
Did ... did he just summon Cthulhu?
Bluebeard is amusing but god he is such a joke as a servent. He would make Caster just facepalm at his lack of skills in magic. That's what happens when the wrong spirit is put into the wrong container >.>

@Fidite
Maybe.
Anyway.
Watched Girl who Leapt Through Time.
I did not need that in my life with that BS ending and all of those feels.
Everything else was fine... I think.
I'm not good with time-travel stories.
It's rare though that I care so much about characters in a film that isn't a trilogy or whatever.
After that did Berserk. The first film. It's an OKAY adaptation, good enough to warrant at least one watch and it's cool to see big-ass army fights in anime.
Gonna go for number two now (just came back from my 4th viewing of the Hobbit.)

It's hard to ****** to dubbed anime.
Bible Black though was my masterpiece.
Yes.
I wrote the dub.
Isn't it perfect?
That explains lot's.

"Go on b*tch I wanna c*m now" is my personal favourite.
It varies greatly from the actual translation but I think the VA got it perfectly.
You can feel just how much he wants to c*m at that exact moment in time.
It's art.
You should be a writer.

I am.
I wrote the dub.
They paid me five bucks and a snickers.
It was worth it.
Wow you ripped them off.
Bro is a natural talent! Especially when Akane and Ko are involved. Then true magic is happening!

Aren't writers usually rip-offs?
@Bro
Ko sliding his hot spoon into Akane's summer sundae.

"When!?"
We all want to know that Ko..

Better than my wage of $5 and a stick of gum.

The movie will have them at the point of f*cking until Kyuubey appears and makes Akane into a magical girl who uses her wish for something stupid like bringing Ko's partner back to life.

Did I mention it was only the wrapper?

Wut?
Anyhow, finished Clannad. It was good. Pretty funny, has decent characters and decent arcs. Though care very little about the main romance. Not that it is badly developed or that Nagisa is a bad character, I simply don't personally enjoy her archtype. Also, that OVA with Tomoya had a bigger impact on me than the whole season. I'd rather sail that ship.
After Story next.
And let the feels begin.
Trust me.
Nobody (89%) likes Nagisa until After Story.
Did I mention it was only the wrapper?
