It had a 1 limit when I was playing it. I even remember it being in the rules book that came with the started packs.

 

Anyways I assume you'd think justa bout every card that provides any kind of individual buff to a creature would be useless then? Seeing as how once that creature is destroyed the card buff is completely lose regardless?

 

Doesn't change that it's still one of the single best buffs you could apply to one creature (at the time don't know about now)

I remember getting this card in a pack and nearly shitting myself

No one else I knew even had this card, even at the local tourneys. Good times ^^

I have that card too, I can't recall if it is holographic though.

 

I had the same response when I got Exodia's right arm in a pack and then again when I got his left leg later on. 

 

I got the Torso/Head from a trade and the Right leg and Left arm off of Ebay, I once managed to win by summoning Exodia.

 

Pretty hard for me to effectively use him though.

Dark Hole was banned at some point. So yeah.

 

Even back then I am pretty sure there was a few ways around it.

 

As for buffs.

 

Buffs can be great.

 

But if they have an effect that helps in some other way or keeps it safe/around or works off of another card well.

 

That is better than just a simple buff that will not last long anyways.

 

And on that note.

 

Axe of Despair is a bit better (not great) nowadays tho since it says.

 

"(This card is always treated as an "Archfiend" card.)"

Yugi's grandpa, Solomon, had a great Exodia deck in one of the world tournament games (2004, I think). He managed to beat me with Exodia a couple of times in the thousands of hours I sunk into that game (Exodia even had his own summoning animation, shame most people that played the game probably didn't witness it).

Most of the games had neat animations for Exodia.

 

And most Exodia decks are pretty bad.

 

But some are good or at least interesting to use.

I got some Chinese god cards back in the day, but I bet they are knock offs too. I had a lot of fun with them though, if you have fun with something like that, then that's really all that matters.

Asterix and Obelix is just brilliant! Spent a good portion of my childhood reading the comics and watching the cartoons / movies.

Never was much into card games. Meaning I simply collected Pokemon and Yugioh cards, but never bothered to learn how to play.
