Nobody learned how to play Yugioh. You just did whatever is coolest at the time. It's just like the anime.

Asterix and Obelix is just brilliant! Spent a good portion of my childhood reading the comics and watching the cartoons / movies.
Never was much into card games. Meaning I simply collected Pokemon and Yugioh cards, but never bothered to learn how to play.
Good to know there are more people who've read them.
Have the collection in my house. Gonna try to re-buy them because the ones I have are old and scrappy.
Even have pocket-edition ones. Well... they aren't 'pocket edition' but they're small versions.
Liked the movies too, they were surprisingly good. But only watched two. Asterix and Obelix (which I think was like the pilot movie) and Asterix and Obelix with err, well, the Cleopatra story which had this awesome scene.
Hahah Obleix trying to drink the magic potion like always ![]()
Got the cartoons too, IIRC they were better. But there was one of them where the dub was horrible. Think they called Getafix something like Gretalin or something.
You don't have a Gaul in A&O that doesn't have a name ending in 'ix' - it's just not right.

Cool to hear, I have only a comic or two in my collection, but otherwise I've seen almost everything that the franchise has had to offer. Though it has been years since I've last delved into them. Can't even recall if the movies were actually any good, but I recall I had a blast watching them.

I think they're fun if anything else.
My recollection is a bit hazy too, must have been like 4 to 5 years ago since I last saw them.
I read the comics all the time though.
When I have no/don't feel like reading a book what else is there than a good Asterix comic to read whilst taking massive dumps in the loo?
Though I haven't read them this past year cos of my introduction to manga and anime.

So I watched Valley of the Wind.
Beautiful film, love stuff like that since I'm very pro-environment/animal at heart.
Lived all my life around them.
Few convinences that bothered me just a little. Like how the gun-ships when needed too just got blown up with two or three shots.
Other than that? Really good.
If the Manga is better by far as Geth says then great because I'd love to see more of these characters explored. The Princess of the other Kingdom was 'meh' in my books, but it looked like she had potential. Her subordinate was too good to be true and I'd love to see more of that dude.
Nausicaa was all a good protagonist should be. She was a blast. Miyazaki knows how to do good female characters it seems.
I preferred it to Princess Monoke for a few reasons, but mostly because there wasn't any forced love conclusion and that the end was very fitting. It's funny how Spirited Away is the Miyazaki favourite for most people but it's the least for me (even though it's also very very good.) Well... I'd put Spirited Away far ahead of Totoro so that's not true.
Got Castle in the Sky, Grave of the Fireflies and Laputa: Castle something something (don't remember though the 'Laputa' is funny if you understand spanish.) After that my movie-thon might come to an end. Unless I watch more Mizayaki films or go for Garden of Sinners.
Actually might go for Sinners since they're a series. I prefer series over stand alone movies, even if it's just a series of movies, it's still better than that.
Guess lots of anime and gaming has spoilt me. It's hard for me to grow attached to movie characters when I'm so used to games that take hours and hours to complete.

So I finished Katanagatari. I could do full review but it would be quicker to just say. This gave me soul ripping equal to Clannad. If that doesn't get you to watch it I don't know what will.

Speaking of Clannad...
Key are here to f*ck with your feelings once again.
Text: And so, in 2015...
Text: It's time to move to a new frontier
Text: 5 years since Angel Beats!
Text: We were waiting for this day
Text: When a boy and a girl meet each other, their cruel fate begins to move
Text: The promise is that you'll come back.
2015 is looking good.
The Witcher 3
Gintama
JoJo's return
And this.
All we need is for Miura to apologise for everything and say "all my years in hiatus have been used to stockpile two hundred chapters worth of Berserk. I'll release them all weekly from now on."
This manga will be saved.
Oh
And Vagabond needs to come back with Vinland Saga.
P.S
Will list that, Liam.

Rewrite.
It's not a bad VN per se but I can't see an adaptation into anime ending well.

Looked it up. Amnesia and mysterious spirits that can be used to explain any bullshit. I'm guessing that's the problem with it.

That goes for me as well on a lot of things, and I don't mind it at all.Though I haven't read them this past year cos of my introduction to manga and anime.
Speaking of Clannad, I am finding that the show relies quite heavily on its 'emotional undertones', to the point that it has a tendency to go too far and over stay its welcome, just to get a bigger kick out of it. Not personally a fan of those.
Still, it does handle most instances generally well, and it is a good show in its own right, in large part due to it not revolving solely on the dramatic aspects.
EDIT: Oh and I approve of new avatar, Sim!

Yeah there's also the fact that some events in one route don't make any sense whatsoever in other routes and they can't just drop the heroine routes to avoid these plot holes and go for the true route because then nobody would care about the characters.
Still interested in what we are going to get from AB.

Which episode of Afterstory are you on now?
Once X happens then it's over for the err... well, you'll see.
It becomes really grounded and down to earth after a certain arc.
Basically, once school is over, then the "good times" are gone.
It's why I said "Clannad AND Afterstory" the entire thing is just one big story about life.
Trust me, you'll see when you get there.
P.S
Oh and thanks for the approval.
Gintoki is just great in anything.

So I decided to watch the last episode of Inou battle. In short a decent funny show ruined by the need to force a bullshit plot about some fairy war into it.

Pretty much this. It's so average in all kinds of ways and dragged down by the most stupid plot possible

*snip*
Episode 7 in After Story, if my memory serves me right. I will notify when I reach to that point (or whenever I finish it).
Damn, always have to resist clicking UBW VN spoilers. Still debating with myself whether I should let the show run its course or just read the VN first.

I liked it a lot at first when it was just a silly light hearted slice of life. Like Chu-2 if the powers existed. Then they added romance, then it became a harem, then they added a serious plot that made no sense. I think everything after Hatako got kidnapped was when it went really down hill.
