Also really glad to finally meet someone else who prefers the Nausicaa movie to Princess Mononoke.
Maybe it's because Mononoke has better animation? It's just that, the film was really good but the ending didn't satisfy me at all. It was wham bam thank you ma'am, kind of like the Hobbit.

Plus, main protagonist though just as proactive as Nausicaa wasn't as well developed or as likeable as Nausicaa herself.
Also there's no Lord F*CKING Yupa. That dude and his manly bush beard is like the third best thing about the film.
