You know.. I'm beginning to feel like even off-topic forum is almost just as crazy as the DA forums.. only safe (relatively) places are like anime/JRPG forums and music threads.
I still maintain that there is nothing really that crazy about anime, well, most of it. I mean like Squid Girl, like what's the harm there? How could this be so very strange or different? It's like the most normal thing there is... well... in spirit.
Even something like KLK it's like.. just mostly human flesh exposure that makes it different. It's just the beach, in story form, more or less.

The DA forums are miles and miles from anywere close to being as crazy as the ME3 forums were.
The BSN is fairly special but it's not in the least unique in having some special and insane elements in it. The legend of Tali's sweat is something, but you could easily find an equivalent in terms of "say what" on many other forums

As for anime being crazy, well I still consider myself relatively new to it, but I would still claim that it sure has its fair share of disturbing elements. Though a lot of aspects flies through people's heads due to prejudice, I find.
Still, you have to have a relatively broad mindset when it comes to anime, since while there are tons of variety in genres, some elements like lolis and boob / ass shots are things that will easily give an individual the option to turn a blind eye to the show in question, even if appearances can be deceiving. Madoka Magica is a prime example.

That's the thing, I'm seeing crazy everywhere these days. Some of the weirdest threads/ideas I've seen on places like the newyorker website, or just an otherwise normal random gaming website, or in the youtube comments or something. No matter how "normal" the surface it seems there is insanity and weirdness just waiting to burst forth at any moment.

1. Well I guess in that case I don't visit the crazy forums (besides this one) because to me BSN always somewhat stood out but I do believe you that there probably are other ones.
2. Personally I never really got bothered that much by fanservice or loli and the like in anime. Hell at this point fanservice doesn't even bother me in the slightest but yeah I can see what you mean.
