I just watched it for Isuzu Sento's plots.

I just started watching Noragami at Shaia's suggestion (3 episodes in) and am enjoying it. I find it to be interesting and I feel that it has a lot of potential. I'd give it an 8 out of 10 based off of what I've seen so far. Who knew that being a god could be such hard work?

Studying the Kaballah because I'm reading the Date a Live novels after watching the anime, and I noticed some similarities between the Spirits and the branches of the Kaballah while I was watching the anime, like the weapons of the Spirits coincidence with the angels, like Tohka's Sandalphon.

 

Also playing Ar Tonelico 2 before Luca sings Viena, I want to level grind (because the combat is fun) and see if I can find any crystals to Dualstall.

 

Also reading the Date a Live novels.

 

And waiting for my DS to recharge so I can play Pokeymains more.

 

This is a pretty fun day.

Just pursuing crunchyroll at the moment. Picking so anime at random to watch. (not much of an anime guy, so don't have much preference). While waiting for a new HD cord for my PS4 to arrive. (Needed a 35ft one, because of my projector)  But all in all enjoying the chill time while I have it. lel

I just finished Noragami, watched it all in one go. Noragami was brilliantly done, I loved the characters, the story and the setting; just everything. I have no complaints or points of criticism to offer towards it. If I were an official rating service I'd rate the show 10 out of 10, it's a fighting show done right and the humor was perfectly mixed in without feeling forced.

Cool, will consider watching Noragami a bit sooner than anticipated. Stiff competition as always and even more so now after I spent a decent amount of time blitzing through LotGH. So many shows.. so many shows!

See, I thought so too. But there's a certain beauty to the end that makes it tick for me.

 

Chris made a fantastic post about it about two millennia ago, but yeah, his "choice" is what did it for me. Since it's essentially him accepting the reality of his suffering and not escaping from it. He went through so much pain but through so much joy too, and that's why he chose to come back.

 

His wish, of course, came true.

 

It takes some time to sink, and it doesn't help that if you're anything like me, supernatural elements the likes of Clannad feel forced and out of place at first glance.

 

Plus, you can't deny that sh*t was foreshadowed at f*ck.

Certainly, it works in terms of conveying the central theme of the story quite well, though it is just a personal bias on my part since I never liked that the show had supernatural elements like ghosts and other dimensions (one reason why I found Fuko and that cat chapter to be rather dull). I also personally preferred the thematic style revolving around the part of moving on and coming in terms with oneself, which was handled quite astutely within the show after Nagisa died. 

 

I would have been more content with if had it ended with Tomoya continuing to live on with his child, but then she had to die as well and then something magical happened and they are all alive and well. Sure it works, and it isn't out of the blue, but I preferred the more down to earth approach to the story and personally feel that that is what it should have been about solely.

Easily my second fav Ghibli film.

 

Feels a lot like a really good FF game.

 

Maybe Sqaure got inspiration from it.

 

+1. I read somewhere that both airships and the chocobos were a Miyazaki inspiration. The chocobos being those kind of camel things in Nausicaa and Airships from I guess a number of different Miyazaki movies.
