I just finished watching Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine and it was pretty good, but the last episode ruins about 85% of the story with a plot twist that comes out of nowhere.

Besides Oscar who was a unnecessary character, Fujiko was the weakest character in the show.
Lupin, Jigen, Goemon, and Zenigata where great and they really overshadow Fujiko in her own show.

Which makes me wonder why they made Fujiko the main character? (Besides Boobs)

They could have called the show Lupin the Third: The Owl Woman and nothing would have to be changed.

I've watched some Lupin the Third: Woman Called Fujiko Mine and it's fun.

Gotta love the artstyle and such. Not much more to go by though. (the question is whether it will get a "main story-line")

Chrollo vs Silva and Zeno.

It was nice to see the contrast between the original version and the new version of the anime through the fight. The original had less dialogue and the lights were off. The new version explained Chrollo's abilities more and expanded on Silva and Chrollo's past encounter.

Although I liked the environment of the original version more, the execution of the fight in the new version (music, choreography, animation, and Zeno's face) was f**king amazing in the episode.

Zeno you sexy beast.

Aah this must be a perfect adaptation, such a quality animation and perfect atmosphere is truely a rare occasion in these days. Madhouse is surprassing itself with every episode leaving us waiting for next week impationtly. One of the finest Manga arcs gets a near perfect anime adaptation... What else is there to ask?

And damn I can't get enough of that choral Phantom Troupe/Chrollo theme.

Anyways one of the reasons I really love this fight is seeing Chrollo fight so defensively. I like the sort of disconcerting...ness of it. Like I guess in a more typical story you would figure that the leader of the PT would be someone a lot more obviously stronger in a more superficial way. But Chrollo is fairly slight of build and softspoken and his only on-screen fight is a very defensive one and I love that despite that kind of presentation, it is very obvious that's he is very strong and very dangerous. Idk I thought it was kind of an interesting/clever way of storytelling. :)

"Disconcerting" is a good choice of wording for Chrollo scenes. :)

I've got to agree that a main problem for the new series are the environments. Though I can't tell if it's more of a problem than the petty colors, and for me, the music.

Like when the guitar kicks in at the end. That's cheesy to no end.
Also, I'm personally not a fan of the choirs' "ee-eh!" thing.

It does follow a large part of the manga, but if I'm allowed to say this, the 2011 one takes from the start of it more than it follows chapters 71 onward (aesthetically). 1999's September arc really resonated with that anime, and was, in my opinion, the artistic get-go for it.

But the overall tempo/pacing and music in that Chrollo scene seems much better than other scenes in 2011 Hunter X Hunter I've seen.

I did quite enjoy this:

Until the cheese-driven guitar kicked in...
And then... the beat... uhh...

The guitar kicks in because it leads into the ending theme.

IMO that's awesome.

And I still like Chrollos theme.

Also nope, the new show gets the York Shin arc prefect, and that means aesthetically too. Like voice acting, music and of course art-style and animation.

When you do watch the whole thing, you will understand what I mean.

Watching a show called Shiki and it's pretty creepy. Overbearing almost. I'm just taking a break for a couple minutes, the first two episodes were pretty intense. It's a noitamina series, it's pretty good.

The trailer.

What I want to know is how come in every anime/JRPG the plot is always resolved by the power of love and friendship?
It's the same in every anime. There is some great evil threatening the world yada yada yada but then the main characters win because they choose to believe in themselves and their friends!

It makes anime seem like it was made for 12 year olds.

Is cowboy bebop one of those Japanese things that tries to appeal to Westerners?  I think we already get enough of that from Crapcom.

Guys seriously, Sword Art is amazing. I really recommend giving it a go, I watched all of it (14 eps at the time) in a day because I couldnt get enough of it. The animation is amazing and the story is captivating! (At least I think so). I'm dying for the next episode now that Im up to date. 16 eps out so far :)
