Yeah, it's a pretty damn good game with a bitter-sweet ending which is really cool.

 

'suppose not many people liked Tidus.

 

It also had (from the ones I've played - 7, 8, 9) the most... err... extensive? World of the FF games in terms of lore. Since each game is its own world, they can't really create a Dragon Age universe from all of them, but 10 had that bit more than the others ones I've found.

 

I didn't particularly like Tidus a whole lot but he worked fine as a protagonist. Lulu, Wakka (a bit surprisingly) and Aaron were my favorites.

 

And yeah it had a rather well thought out world and setting. It's my favorite Final Fantasy second only to FF9 I should note I still haven't played FF6 though... (one day... one day..)

Those BD's from Ufotable always cost a **** ton at release though.

 

I mean US$398.98 is a pretty hefty price.

 

I just had a heart attack more fatal than Scrooge McDuck has ever had. Eh, guess I will have to wait a bit then. Even Fate/Zero Blu-Ray set, which was relatively cheap, made me go all "hnnggggh".

 

lol I'm getting to that point too. Lots of the anime in my list right now don't really scream "WATCH ME NOAAWWW."

 

But at least I have a ton of manga and HF to keep me with Japanese-related stuff.

 

As for GoS, yeah, the first four movies do seem like the entire prologue establishing characters and such since 5 to 7 are in chronological order. Gonna hit 5 now and lets see if it clears some things. 

 

I think it's mostly dialogue. It has very weird ways in how it puts things. Not like Shakespeare, which is pretty obvious what he wants to tell you at first glance, but I don't know... it seems convoluted for the sake of being convoluted.

 

Since you've watched 3, I'll let you in on something...

So does Shiki kill because she wants to kill? Is she a psycho... was her dual personality split and only her murderous intents are left? If so then what happened to her wanting to kill Shinpachi (my name for Ko-whatever) etc... even in movie four where SOME of that is explained, her MO still isn't clear

 

I'd recommend Code Geass if you want a REEEAAAALLLLLYYYY light version of LOTGH. And I'm talking about REALLY light.

 

LOTGH makes Code Geass a Saturday Morning Cartoon show in comparison, but it's still nice and I personally really like Lelouch.

Beats me really about Shiki. Her identity disorder has only been mentioned really, without into any real depth explored aside for her suffering from that mental disorder. The characters aren't really that much of to speak of, and quite superficial so far. And I agree with you again, I as well get the feeling  that the movies are intricately folded in their narrative just to appear more complex. 

 

But it should be resolved by the end, I assume. At least I've come across many similar posts with people judging the series within the first few movies, and people stating that you should watch it to the end. Guess we'll see once we reached that point.

 

Code Geass? Maybe. Though I might push it til next year. Think I'm gonna be busy with Franz Kafka for now.

7 and 8 are still pretty good imo. 7 is just a tad bit overrated though. 8 isn't a personal favorite but I still liked it too.

Well It's just star wars in a FF world so I get why some people would like it. I never completed it though. Combat was too awful. Even by FF standards.

Everyone knows 13 is the best with the 20+ hour tutorial and corridor of corridors.

both my uncles really enjoyed it. Don't think as much as some of the other FF's but still.

Well it is not like I will have LOGH on top of a throne and demand a show that can surpass it. Clannad was a nice change of pace in genre, so might look for something different as well to watch. Mushishi is on top of it. Though I am afraid I will just fall asleep everytime I watch it in the evenings, haha! That show sure is relaxing.
