Well, he's pretty much a hands-on example of the point Kiritsugu made to Saber. Victory comes at the pain of the defeated. Kiritsugu's victory was pretty much complete, as was the pain/humiliation of Diarmuid (and his master, but he was an a-hole anyway).

Really I have a feeling alot of people who have not read the VN will hate the HF movie(s) simply because

All the servants but Rider, dark saber, dark Berserker and True Assassin are systematical killed(even Archer is killed, he simply made his death worth it and found his answer) before we even get to the the last quarter

So these kind of people will probably dislike it because they will only see one servant (Rider) kick ass, Shirou killing berserker (which will seem like another asspull to them since Archer didn't do that in UBW), Kirei kicking ass and the whole Sakura/Shadow thing.

Decided to give it a watch after seeing that swimming scene. Just got done with Episode 5. That was ... something else. Haven't laughed this much in a long time.

Done with Ouran High School Host Club and what a show. Easily one of the most entertaining shows I've watched in a very long time and it comes down to just how awesome the characters are and how completely the show allow itself to have as much fun as it possibly can about anything that it can come up with. It's ridiculous and silly to the core and that is the icing on the cake.

Rin was able to take one of Berserkers life and she did beat Caster by using tricks and would have killed her too if SHirou was not overpowered. She also survived an attack from Kotomine
