So, Sword Art Online seems to be having good word of mouth. Think I'll give the first ep a shot once I get home.

Oh, and my first thought when reading that Naruto chapter was "is Kishimoto making fun of Kubo?"

Seemed like it to me.

Kishi is not that smart.

Based on what, exactly?

It's also on Hulu. There's only 7 episodes so it's either a fairly new series or Hulu is missing a lot of it episodes. Since it's Hulu, I'm going to assume the latter.

Hulu is probably your best bet. The quality is a lot better if you don't mind dealing with annoying adds here and there.

Darn, wish Hulu was available outside the US. Not complaining much though - I mostly watch my anime on the laptop. The widescreen feels much too wide when sitting by table.

Am I the only one here who watches anime on a TV with large surround sound speakers?

You are missing out.

It's very easy to do if you have a spare PC (one that's powerful enough for h.264 1080p decoding, of course) and a good receiver so you can hook it up to your TV and your speakers.
I watch all my movies and anime this way. :wizard:

I watch next to no anime, but due to my own curiosity (thanks in part to Logan) I decided to check out SAO. On episode 9 now, I'm hooked.

EDIT The animation quality isn't half bad either.

It is definitely the one of the nicest looking anime right now.

It's pretty funny how most of us are watching this anime around the same time.

Foxx told me to check it out the other night, but someone I've been on/off talking to recommended it awhile back.

His comments are on my profile, but I can't remember who it was to save my life, lol. He's got a Kirito avvy though.

Brotherhood is better.

I liked the heroes in Brotherhood more, but I like the villains in the original series more.

In Brotherhood most of the villains were not characters they were just plot-devices.

The original series doesn't have Ling and Greed who are like, the best due ever. There bantering is hilarious.

Brotherhood for me, because it follows the manga more closely. Not that the original series is bad, though. Both are worth a watch.

I just finished Fractale. Really great series, super highly recommended. It's only 11 episodes, but in that short time they tell an awesome story. And the characters are great.
