Perhaps not, but it is something I've discoverd gets preached a lot by anywhere it is discussed, or simply that everyone should experience it just because.

That happens with a lot of popular anime.
It was the same with Attack On Titan. People were calling it a better Game Of Thrones and that you should watch it just because of that.
Hell people told me I should just watch KLK because it was made by Trigger and any anime made by Trigger is always great!
(I still haven't watched it)
Not saying that you're not somewhat right since there are probably people like that but I think that goes for a lot of popular anime shows.

It does take up at least half the conversation volume of the thread nowadays, I guess at least now I know what it was like for Lotion and Dean_the_Young (or Khayness? don't remember) when Kill la Kill was airing.

It will never happen that I'll say it was worth watching the endless eight but you're totally right that by watching it the movie got 2-3% better.
Still had more storytelling variety then Bleach does >_> I'd take watching the Endless Eight a dozen times over then watching that series again.
