I'm going to sleep.
House loves Gintama now.
Which is great, because he can do my job too.
So watch Gintama

Jeez

I agree (aside from the masterpiece part but that's because I'm bias as f*ck.) However, where LOTGH puts its focus, it does so profoundly, exploring the key areas of its politics as astutely as possible.
Politics is a very complex subject with so many layers that I doubt a show could succeed in covering absolutely everything possible without over excreting itself or ignoring other very important things like character development and characterisation.
LOTGH had covers so many topics, it's great that it finds a balance between them all.
Quite so, though I still consider certain aspects could have been developed further, considering how vital they really are in conveying a stronger grasp on certain related issues that the show takes up. But there is always room for more, and as you said, what it did mainly focus on it handled astutely.
Trying to balance Three Kingdoms and anime as best as can.
Does...
Does..
Three Kingdoms handle Politics better than LOTGH?

We're trying to get Clones and Liam together, but they aren't having it, yet.
Yandere, you and Isi should be a couple.
Geth Rider has to be alone though, for he is our god and is therefore above us.
Oh no, Vroom. We are trying to ship Isi and Chewin here, now that Ani is not here. Don't ruin the ship, bro!
And yes, Spice and Wolf is awesome!

So ghost in the shell is getting a new movie (no not the live action one) I haven't touched ghost in the shell yet but I felt I should share it for the people in here who have.

It's so hard to pick one waifu out of the countless waifus there are.
But it's so easy to pick one husbando from all the others!
WHY?
P.S
My one and only husbando...

Everybody knows but I might as well shove it in your face more like that one annoying dude who just got in a relationship.
@GitS movie.
Been meaning to see Arise, but I'm waiting for a dub. Unless it's LOTGH, subs around seinen shows are hard to follow for me since I can't read as fast as I digest information. It happened to me with the early episodes of Psycho-Pass (cos I watched the EE.)
Supposedly it's nowhere as good as Stand Alone Complex, but maybe what's meant by that is the philosophical aspect of Ghost in the Shell. I don't mind it if it's focused around cyber cop stuff. It'll lose some substance but it should be entertaining if the characters are well written... hell, it might even turn out excellent.
Think Ani has an opinion on that but WoW has taken her away from us :-(
But if the movie is from the same guys who did Stand Alone Complex then I'm sold 100%
And speaking of SAC... I can't wait for Chewin to tackle the superior Second GiG season of that series. I understand from my recent rewatch that the 'Stand Alone' episodes from the first season can be a little... annoying, when 'Complex' episodes are ALOT better in every way.
Seriously, 2nd GiG delivers a lot better than the first season ever did.
Back to Arise then... it also doesn't help that they're prequels. I'd prefer to know what happens to Motoko and company AFTER Solid State Society rather than what they got up to before.

Especially when certain episodes take up philosophical and / or psychological questions, yet end up focusing mostly on action scenes rather than further progressing upon said aspect. Sure, it works with the episode, but I just get hungry for more.
Heard that 2nd Season has a larger portrayal on internal politics, which I am interested about (best Stand Alone episode was the one that centered on this in first season imho).

A far larger portrayal. It has a lot to do with Marxism and Capitalism in the philosophical area but in general, it's overall focus is on Japan's position in the international arena.
With action too... Batou gets an awesome 1v1 fight ![]()
As for you getting my reference...

Ok, you know how to hit my jimmies.
Might drop SSY then. While excellent, it is unfortunately not my kind of show, I find.
