How about she just make a group from the start? Much easier that way.
Well I didn't think of that, and the thread is already made?

I asked some people in an anime chat room if SAO had a dub, here's what I got:
"Why the hell would the make one for SAO?!"
"They'll never make one for that show"
"Even if they do, don't watch that s***"
"OMG, this kid is a ****!"
"Yeah, this kid clearly doesn't know anything."
...A simple f'n no would've sufficed. I guess every fanbase has their elitists. Enjoying a show in a different language does not make you intellectually superior to somebody else.
...There's my high and mighty rant of the day.

Not to me. I also prefer dubs over subs unless the voice acting makes me want to punch kittens. I don't want to punch kittens. The Mad Hanar wrote...

Because it's not like we'd actually like to watch the show without focusing on subtitles. Only a moron would want that.
But seriously, I like a lot of dubs, but I can't really say I prefer them. Some shows are like... Sacred. I hate Light Yagami's English VA.

In my opinion subs allow me to experience the anime as it was originally intended, and I also prefer the voice acting in a lot of cases - I find they do tragedy and angst really well.
That being said, I watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood in it's dubbed version as I find being set in that particular time and setting, the english voices are more fitting. I also prefer Alphonse's voice in the Funimation dub.

I mean, it makes more sense in Japanese, but I hated the part where Ryuske is telling them he grew up in America, so he could speak perfect English.
I was like "No. No you can't."

Not a all.
I preferring dubs over subs even if it's a bad 90's dub I would still watch it over a sub.

L's voice took some getting used to, but I like it in both versions. Still prefer the sub though for Death Note.

If you like the premise, .hack/SIGN is a must. A brilliant show.
In terms of what's conveyed, it's much different though. Anyway, it'd be great to hear what you guys who love SAO think of .hack.
@Pinkfox - You'll miss out on half the meaning in Dragon Ball if you watch the dubs.
Though I guess one could watch the show for other reasons than originally intended... and that's fine.

I honestly just don't have a good thing to say about 'em. I don't care that they're popular, I just don't like them.

And sure it is (with the addition of my interest in your opinion of .hack). I wasn't claiming otherwise.

Logan - I used to be really into One Piece etc, but they just. I don't know. They can't compare anymore. I got really bored after the time skip and almost went off anime completely as I couldn't find anything to interest me that I hadn't watched already. SAO brought me back

I'd gladly say what I don't like in it via analysing any given scene though. So if you're interested refer me to one, I'll give my take on the specific reasons.
The not-so-specific reasons include the words "cheesy", "psychologically uninteresting" and "cheap". Sorry. I guess I shouldn't...

Though I kinda feel I am.
(or that I would enjoy it given a different time and "preset" - you know, preparing oneself for watching different shows is essential to understanding more of them)
SAO seems the greatest thing and only thing discussed. So it seemed fitting that I'd at least comment on it, rather than staying put in my otherwise frequented thread.
I should probably give it another viewing sometime soon...

I don't really see it the same way. I am sure eroeru has reasons for disliking SAO. I have reasons for disliking it too!Logan Cloud wrote...
Well, this is like when I told you guys I didn't like One Piece or Dragon Ball or all that stuff.
I honestly just don't have a good thing to say about 'em. I don't care that they're popular, I just don't like them.
@ThePinkFozz I i thought you read One Piece too? You should know that after the crappy Fishman Island arc, the series got back to what it's good at.

@eroeru
What episode did you get to before you stopped watching?
Because I can see lots of times where all three of the words you used would fit perfectly in SAO's story so far.
Just remember that at the end of the day SAO is a love story.
