It seems to me shonen and most superhero comics do have the same target demographic (ie young and teenage boys), but I don't know enough about the latter to say any more about them.
Though it is not surprising that worst poster Clones would dismiss good shonen like Hunter x Hunter, JoJo (including everything covered by the anime so far), One Piece, etc
