It seems to me shonen and most superhero comics do have the same target demographic (ie young and teenage boys), but I don't know enough about the latter to say any more about them.

Though it is not surprising that worst poster Clones would dismiss good shonen like like Hunter x Hunter, JoJo (including everything covered by the anime so far), One Piece, etc

According to DC their primary demographic is 45 year old dudes.

 

Secondly I'm not the worst poster. That honor goes to a nutcase like Star Reborn.

Dan DiDio needs to be fired as DCs editor. Because he's the worst.

 

I don't really read any more monthly titles after All-Star Western got canned (Because poor Jonah Hex can't get anything good anymore. I blame that terrible movie). I only read Injustice because of it's great premise and clever writing.

 

Best part is it's an elseworlds story, made to tie into a fighting game. It's not even associated with the New 52 at all. If that doesn't speak volumes  about pointless gimmicks in comics I don't know what will.

Yeah that was pretty much my point.

 

Serialized comics for young/teen boys with strong characters who are often a power fantasy and tons of cliffhangers because serialization.

 

Obviously this is not always the case with both.

 

You got tons of sports/romance/high school/slice of life shonen manga with more "normal" human characters.

 

And gag/humor shonen manga as well as humor superhero comics.

 

Then you have superhero comics like the new Ms. Marvel one that is for young/teen girls and is awesome.

 

And I am telling you this because you don't have a body pillow you f**k.

But I'm still salty about the Crunchyroll android update that apparently added HD support (friggin finally) which was then apparently removed in the next update. Damn it Clones.

 

Hmm... now that you mention it, the Crunchyroll app also has short ads if you don't have a subscription.
