A show I watched because the opening was ****** awesome.
You know when somethings bad but you like it anyways even though you are fully aware of how bad it is? That's absolute duo in a nutshell. I like a few unique things it does (the first episode plot twist was really damn good) but that doesn't fix the fact that every character besides the two main leads and maybe the head teacher are utterly generic.

Well I'm not as motivated to gush on the internet but if I could it could probably get some attention... it aims for a kind of Mozart level frivolity.. actually has a couple sonatas in them.

Although to be honest.. I kind of prefer Fullmetal Panic Fumoffu as the ideal silly and easy-going one.. or maybe Spice and Wolf but I guess you have seen that already.

I sat down and watched all of Cereal Asparagus Lane Serial Experiments Lain over a course of 5 hours. I enjoyed it. 

 

 

 

It had a lot of deep themes and it had a tendency to be confusing until the last few episodes where you have enough information to piece everything together. 

 

The art style was unique, very lifelike at times. None of the characters were fan service in terms of being overly cute, I found the characters looks to be the most realistic out of any anime that I've ever seen (sorry if this is a confusing comment). 

 

The music was excellent as well. 

 

 

 

 

 

I'd rate it 8 out of 10 or 4 out of 5 stars.

 

It is worth watching and the time, especially if you are like me and like unpredictability out of your stories.
