I sort of get that. I mean I hate harems with a burning passion but deconstructions are a bit different. That's why one like Bakemonogatari is great in my books despite being part of a genre I typically despise.

I grew up with Love Hina. It wasn't as bad when I was 13 but now I wouldn't be able to stand it.
I kinda have that relationship with Dragon Ball Z. I loved it as a kid, since I didn't know beter. But now that I'm older I mostly watch it for the nostalgia.
Don't get me wrong, DBZ is great. But I don't think I could ever get into it these days if I had never watched it in the past.

This ones hard to judge. The story line is kind of interesting. It's based in a fantasy world were heroes used to fight demons, but then the demon king was eventually killed, leading to heroes to lose there job status given the fact that there's no need to fight anymore. Almost like a res-session for them in a sense. Story focuses on an ex-hero who's trying to get comfortable working at a part time job at a convenience store. Interesting concept, but a lot of time dedicated to the "authentic retailing" in the store. Not for most.
