The thing is, that sort of thing is so common in anime worlds that it's not at all problematic.

You can strictly divide all possible anime characters in two - 1. the kind that say "I'm not into that sort of thing" yet are very tolerant and 2. those who want to be subjected under the will of others (these "others" being mostly of the first kind).

@ The hilarious bit - yup it's hilarious. Iff it doesn't get too cliche'd. I'm already at a point where I've exhausted the sensation of first laughing at anime' sexual connotations.

@ Soronnar - It must be said that these (my) explanations of NGE pertain to my enjoyment of it, which is already a fact. It is not that "overthinking" results in a misguided appreciation, it's rather that these explanations are either indistinguishable from "pure" enjoyment, or simply not reason for enjoyment at all. It's not as you imply - NGE isn't good for people *because* they overthink it. And as for the validity of the explanations and theories - there's no such thing as an explanation false because of too much attention and scrutiny. It's much rather the opposite.

@ Dragon Age Z getting better - well, I've tried through 137 episodes of hell already. It's boring, the music is stagnating, nothing new or fresh for eons. No adventure, no interesting stuff (like really goofy sometimes originally sexual humor or truly "alive" characters), no plot-twists around every corner, no truly free light-hearteness - it all degraded in to only recaps and copy-paste overly long fight-scenes.

I cannot love an inch of what the sequel series did in comparison to the original.

edit: LOL. I meant Dragon BALL Z.
Though whether surprising or not, Dragon Age vs ][ has me doing similar rants.

Aah, that's it then. I don't do skipping.

Also, I'm too much of a maniac for original music. Even Z delivered in the start of it. But all that merit went away after 20-something episodes.

To think that a series won't change music for 300 episodes, whilst most change it every 10 or so eps gets me really really mystified.

You keep forgetting that it's Toei's fault for all the horrible stuff.

I like the music but I can agree it's a shame there was nothing new, at least One Piece has new music here and there... Anyway I think it was budget thing.

It's true the last big adventure was going to a planet. As for interesting stuff? Cell(boring but somewhat interesting), the cyborgs, a future where almost everyone is dead, a magic pink monster for a final bad guy. None of that is interesting?

I think the "Z" parts of Dragon Ball had more plot-twists, the Freeza/Cell/Boo arcs are full of them. And the Boo arc is very lighthearted.

Anyway best thing I can tell you, is watch Kai(you get new music and the pacing is a bit better) then watch the Boo arc of DBZ.

Or read the manga like a sane person would!

New One Piece chapter came out.

Dude, Chopper is like one of the best developed characters in the series. And I really happy this arc is showing how great he really is.

And then all the quincies just up and vanished instantly.

Byakuya's not dead yet, this makes the Bleach chapter horrible.

It was such a novel concept! And since they were brought into the war, surely they can't just up and vanish after their initial 5 pages of introduction?
