Difference is the humor does get better. Judging Gintama on the first episode is simply utterly foolish and will just close you off on good laughs, fantastic fights and good stories.
Not really, seeing how you can watch several anime series in the same time it would take to watch all of Gintama, all of which can have good laughs, fantastic fights and good stories.
And why do we even argue about this? If Clones or anyone else didn't like it enough to continue, that's his prerogative alone. There's nothing foolish about deciding he wants to use his spare time for something else, regardless of how good Gintama is supposed to be later on.

Well all I can say is that I hope you stick with it and move through it slowly. It does get really good but having to go through 24 eps of poor to ok (mostly) can be a pain.

He judged the inital episodes of the show, not its entirety. He simply stated that he didn't get motivated enough to continue watching it, and not criticize it as an awful show or something. It is cool if he gives it a second chance, but he isn't obligated to do so (unless he starts criticizing the show as a whole).

We're argumentative people here. That and the Asuna Bodypillow, my dislike of Pokemon, Evangelion, etc, makes me the almost designated Butt Monkey.
I didn't say the show was bad or anything. Just a little too disjointed, and odd. Not really a best foot forward considering the length.

I'm a horrible procrastinator and I get sidetracked easily. In this case the length of the list is also making it take longer then normally too. I blame WoW, and work, and my flighty brain..

I myself need to continue working on my Fate/Zero and LOGH analysis, though managing both uni and part time job is stressful and doesn't motivate me to continue (though in my defense, writing analysis are time consuming for me and I'd rather do something else on my spare time).There's a reason Sim compared me to Miura

Mm this week works started slowing down a lot more. I don't think I'll be working anymore 60 hour weeks again for a little while at least which is sort of nice. Christmas is a good time to make lots of cash but it really starts to drain you after a while. I need to start picking back up my anime watching habits a bit more.
Just watched the 4th episode from Yoru No Yatterman and I can't believe that this supposed to be based of the Yatterman show that was aired in the 90's.
I mean, I haven't watched the original Yatterman anime but it's supposed to be a comedy show but I can assure you that the Yoru No Yatterman anime that is airing right now is not a comedy!
I mean sure it tries to be funny at times but it just doesn't work when a minute later you learn something tragic.

I do like the show. Just surprised that is supposed to be a story set in the same universe as a comedy anime.
