Finally decided to watch Chaika: Avenging Battle. That was an anticlimactic second season. Strongest wizard ever went out mighty quick. Couldn't even give him a multi-episode send off.

Hitsugi no Chaika had a pacing problem from the start. Personally I wasn't surprised seeing the ending rushed, though I was surprised of just HOW rushed it ended up being. I mean, one episode comes the grand reveal ... next episode, all done, over.

Yeah, it's bad. Not every studio can properly work with the 12 episode (or less in this case) format to wrap things up.

Anime lost another one. Monty Oum, creator of RWBY, had a severe allergic reaction to a simple medical procedure a little over a week ago and fell into a coma, passing away painlessly yesterday at 4:34 PM.

They probably didn't want to do another season, plus you could tell they where running into budget issues in season 2 big time, more so near the end.
