I watched the first episode quite some time ago and placed it on hold ever since. It just didn't grab me.

 

It was quite entertaining, the first episode is not very representative of the series as a whole IMO, it starts off sort of straightforward and plain but it quickly evolves into some pretty heavy gothic fantasy by the middle.

BTW even though I felt like I was going to die through the whole episode I watched the JoJo episode in Stardust Crusaders with Joseph versus the Empress stand (forget what episode number it was off of the top of my head) it was nice to finally get to see him in action. Between his wonderful Engrish, getting to see more Hamon (Iwell I do like the stands I wish we got to see this a bit more) and more of his expert ability to predict what the enemy will say right before he opens up a can oh whoopass on the enemy it was a very enjoyable episode.

Poor Polnareoff can't catch a break with dem ladies though X3

Each crusader gets alot of great moments during stand fights. Empress was pretty much Joseph time to shine and showing that despite his age, his tactical thinking(one of his biggest strengths)  is still intact.
