Whaaattt! since when did the forums have an anime and manga thread? I haven't been here in three years, I might start to get back on.

 

I don't really want to go through 1000 pages so I'd like to know what some people's favorite anime and manga are.

Cowboy bebop, Gintama, Ghost in the shell, PMMM, Kill la kill, Clannad, LotGH, FMA:B, JoJo and Nasuverse content that's not made by DEEN.

Bebop, Jojo (2012), FMA: B and Fate/Zero are among my favorites. What's PMMM? How are you finding this season of Stardust crusaders? I thought that the first 3 episodes were poor but the Anubis episode was quite good.

 

 

Favorites: Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Baccano, Durarara!!!, Ergo Proxy & Gankutsou: Count of Monte Cristo (it's already one of my favorites) -- I haven't watched a lot of anime that has kept me interested so those are the ones I can mainly think about.

Baccano is my favorite anime. FMA: B and Bebop are also part of it. 

I've heard good things about Gankutsuo and Ergo Proxy, so I'll watch them in the future.

Baccano is my favorite anime. FMA: B and Bebop are also part of it. 

I've heard good things about Gankutsuo and Ergo Proxy, so I'll watch them in the future.

Recommend Durarara!!! as well if you liked Baccano. Written by the same creator and it also adheres to a Guy Richie/Tarantino-unchronological-set-of-small-stories-tied-together in a modern Tokyo.. It's also got a strong English dub, but unlike Baccano it isn't finished yet. The second season just premiered in Japan recently. Recommend checking it out, regardless too

With so may different versions, with every good one there exists a bad one. Most versions I find him to be rather meh, and his maneuverings to be too 'theatrical' for my taste.

Then again, I haven't read that many comic books.

Has anyone here read Battle Angel Alita? It's my favorite manga. I put it above Berserk in nearly every aspect. 

 

I decided to return to the forums to see how it's been going through the years. Also, MAL's forums are so outdated. They need to get with the times and have a modern forum.

 

Anyway, my favorite anime: Baccano, Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal, Steins;Gate, FullMetal: Broho, Monster, From the New World. Attack on Titan, Jojo (2012), Fate/Zero, Cowboy Bebop: heaven's Door, Gurren Lagann: Lagann Henn, Death note, Hunter Hunter (2011), Ghost in the SHell: Stand Alone Complex (2nd Gig), Hellsing Ultimate, Rage of Bahamut: Genesis, End of Eva,

 

Anything that I watched that I really really enjoyed makes into my favorites.

 

My favorite manga is Battle Angel Alita, Vinland Saga, Vagabond, Akira, Berserk, Pluto and Attack on Titan.

Legend of the Galactic heroes. "The objectively best anime" I haven't watched it myself, but that is what most people say. I've never watched spice and wolf either,
 
I like Ghost in the Shell, but the series tends to put me to sleep, I like Fate/Zero and Attack on Titan too.

Definitely recommend LOTGH and S&W, the former for its rather astute representation on both flaws and merits of several political systems in addition to some intriguing space conflicts and exploration on different themes, and the latter for economical intrigues and one of the more compelling romances I've seen on screen.

I don't like Black Lagoon, I haven't seen 2003 Full Metal, but Brotherhood is pretty good, I like Parasyte but the similarities with Spiderman keeps me from giving it much credit..

Yay someone else who read Akira ! Love that manga. So epic.
