I'll have to add Battle Angel Alita to the list. Don't know if I've heard it before.. What's it about?

I'm half way through reading Akira, I haven't watched the movie but i quite like the manga.

 

Battle Angel Alita is a Sci-Fi, Cyberpunk, Action manga. It is about a Martian cyborg warrior named Alita who lost her body. She is found 200 years later in the scrapyard by Hunter Warrior/Tipharean doctor, Ido, and he puts her brain in a new cyborg body.

The story follows her as she try's to regain her memory and how the different relationships she makes and people she meets will influence her life and how she sees the world. Alita's actions have a lot of consequences throughout the story that will shape up her character.

It is an action packed series that also has deep themes about what is human, utopian and dystopian concepts, what it means to be a warrior, how others can greatly impact someone's life. It also has some biblical references.

The art is very detailed, unique and phenomenal. It doesn't look like what you would expect for a cyberpunk series and it is very stylized. 

The first manga, Battle Angel Alita is completed with 53 chapters. Started in 1990 and ended in 1995.
It has a sequel called Battle Angel Alita: last Order with 124 chapters. Started in 2001 and ended 2014.
There is a third sequel that started 2014 called Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicles only three chapters so far.

Lol damn. It took me a minute to figure it out too. But that was because I didn't meticulously search the room and look everywhere. I think the hardest part is making sure you have all the pieces to a puzzle instead of actually figuring it out.

 

I need a red key. I can't find it even though I spent an hour trying to find the thing. I should probably use a walkthrough.

I'm sure. I've watched both seasons, I haven't watched Roberta's blood trail yet. It's not violent and gritty enough for me. I feel like Baccano, Hellsing ultimate and Cowboy Bebop tackled the same type of story, Action and themes better.

At any rate, the most important item on my list was Higurashi: When They Cry, best horror anime I've seen. I'm not sure how they did it, but the contrast between the cute parts and the horrifying parts made for some really powerful stuff.
