As to me liking Dragon Ball (Z) again, periodically, I think it also might have something to do with some differing themes in music (or at least ones that were prior neglected are being used more).

As for Cell, well, I do actually think the character makes this arc better (thus far) - the artificial humans alone were much less interesting.
So I'm basically saying I'm alright (and agree) with Toriyama's editors in this case.

I just don't like editors messing with stuff for no real reason.

As to disliking Kuririn - it's just that the guy's captain obvious. Whenever something happens he's like "Cannot be possible!!", or repeating everything others say, a la "Beyond super saiyan!!?". He also has the function of excaliming everything we already know for the "benefit" of new viewers. I'd love his character only if they'd not sacrifice him for filler-time and if Toriyama had found a way to bestow some awesome powers and personal abilites to him (like it kinda wanted to go when he came up with seeker-power-blasts and the rotating disc).

As to messing with an author, that's kinda lame, but in some cases justified. I'm really not that bothered with it, but it did feel bad when changes resulted in a logical mishap. I really don't want to hear Trunks exclaiming "this past is so different from my future!!" every time they introduce new characters (16, Cell), and I especially dislike the stuff with enemies being overhyped for no reason at all (a la "these artificial humans are SOO much stronger than the ones in the future!!!").

Well if the editor just left Toriyama alone, none of that would have happened.

So I've been watching this show as of late after finding out it's about jazz. The animation and soundtrack is top notch.

I watched the third ep like, an hour ago. Jazz-off between Kaoru and Sentaro was redonculously awesome!

Weird AMV, my head kind of hurts now... The parts with Chopper and Hiruluk at the beginning were fine, but then the effects and all those manga pages just did not mesh well.

@the Kids on the Slope talk, the show is great.

Really liking Kuroko's Basketball even though I'm only two episodes into it. Especially the soundtrack.

It's a great soundtrack.

People give the show flack because the basketball's supposed to be over-the-top and unrealistic, but actually I'm not feeling it in that way exactly. Sure it isn't a documentary - but it's much rather subtly exaggerated than law-defiying.

Like when those "martial-artist" basketball-players had an edge in movement-speed because of good balancing-work - it might seem more than unorthodox, but that kind of running really does work in some cases.

And ninja stuff like Kuroko does can really work. Not to the extent Kuroko does it, but that seems beside the point.

It's a good series, it's no Slam Dunk, but it's still a good series.

Speaking of Slam Dunk, that series should get a new anime.

Slam Dunk could use a good remake. The remakes for HxH and JoJo have been great, so why not.

Seeing Shohoku vs Sannoh animated would be epic but i'm trying to figure out what studio would be good for a SD remake.

Proof that dubs are better than subs.
