General impressions of the novels? 

I like it. 

 

Because of the 7 vs 7 servant concept we get in FA as opposed to the free for all war system in FSN or FZ the war goes a lot faster and overall there is a lot more action. That also means that we have a solid cast of servants. I don't even dislike any of the servants. 

 

The same goes for the Masters. Most masters have been solid up until this point (besides that one idiot master I mentioned a few days ago of course). 

 

Overall though while I did like it I'm also very curious where the events will eventually lead.

I'm playing it now and it's pretty good so far. Try not not to get stuck in the first room like I did. I don't think you're that thick though.

 

Don't worry, the game stumped me a few times too. VLR had some moments that made me want to rip my hair out. If you need any help or advice let me know. I can't promise I'd remember everything perfectly but it's still relatively fresh in my head.

So I'm done with Vol 2 and I've read the prologue from Vol 3 and House, you were totally right.

 

After reading Vol 2 this guy easily became my favorite character.

Shirou Kotomine is the  best, I can't wait for the rest of the volumes to be translated, I really want to see where this goes now since volume 2 ended with a massive game changer.

Yeah, like I know Lancers always get screwed over but at least Cu had a badass moment in all three of his deaths in Fate, but Lancer of Black? Just dam, he made it clear everytime he hated being linked to that creature and to have that NP used on him as he was in utter despair was very hard to read. I liked Lancer of Black, he was an awesome servant.  Really wanted another rematch of him and Karna ;_;

 

But yeah what I really like about F/A is it feels like a war, there's still alot of dialog(which is good) but the battles are far bigger in scope. The massive battle in volume 2 between all the servants and seeing all the rivalries clash on the battlefield with both sides having shock troops to boot was amazing

 

I really recommend it Chewin.

Don't.
It doesn't support any worthwhile exclusives aside from Persona 4 Golden.
Apparently the like 5-6 Neptunia games are only good enough for the Japanese version.

The thing is a paperweight.

All caught up with the Akame manga, it's pretty good and I'm looking forward to seeing how the author will play out the rest. Obviously prefering it the the show by miles.

The anime is just proof that massive diverges like that from the manga normally lead to a disaster.

Yeah, if the show had been made maybe 6-12 months later and followed this script instead it would've not been such a massive disappointment

Did the integrity of AGK get destroyed in the anime? I stopped at episode 14 and hadn't picked it back up again. It sucks when a studio can't give an anime adaption the time it deserves.

It does a complete diverge and not a very good one.
