Kara No Kyoukai really has an amazing OST, even by Kajiura's standards, kind of just re-entering what CrazyRah already put in the anime music thread but yeah.

 

 

Hey does anyone want to share either the manga with the biggest divergence in quality from an anime or a manga yet unmade that would make an amazing anime? Maybe that's Vagabond or something eh...?

Ah Yuki I have yet to hear a track from her that isn't amazing and wonderful

 

It's hard to say with the divergent in quality. I'd say Berserk but that's partly because it was unfinished and left in such a way where they couldn't continue.

 

In terms of mangas that should get an anime adaptation... hmmm I'd say yes to Vagabond personally but I'm not much of a manga expert. Can't say I know of many hidden gems that never for an anime adaptation.

Oh yes, that's probably what surprised me the most. I mean I completely adore Kajiura's music already but to find so many brilliant tracks was not what I expected from the movies and I still got about half of them left!

Well it was definitely worth it, and I quite enjoyed the portrayal of God; having the entity come into existence due to the human nature in its never-ending quest to find 'reasoning' in life. I quite like that concept, that God is not the one that created humans as it usually tends to be in most medium, but the reverse. Though would have preferred it to be a lot longer than simply 17 pages to fully give exposition on this matter.

 

God is apparently created due to humans pursuit of finding an answer to why they feel pain, sorrow and such but didn't explain why exactly these factors are solely bound to unpleasant feelings, and not pleasant ones as well. I would assume since it is after all a "human creation" of sorts, the entity follows the notion of negative bias--wherein negative information are more powerful than positive ones. But how is this applied? Is solely excluded to adult orientation? What about intensity bias? IIRC, social surroundings and upbringing have a great effect in visualizing the effects of both positive versus negative information. 

 

Anyhow, it's been close to 3 years since I last studied psychology and the human appliance of positive versus negative information, so anyone more well versed than me on this is free to comment, or if anyone has read the future issues of Berserk and can fill in the gaps.
