Ok let's set some things straight.

 

Berserker did not defeat Gil, all Berserker did was annoy him, that's it. If Gil was not restrained by his master, he would have killed everyone right there with a nuke or Ea. Once Gil gets serious, he becomes the most dangerous foe you can possibly face, the only way to counter that is to make him lose his composure and that's very hard to do.

 

Second while Rider in Zero is strong(thoguh very weak to Rider in Stay Night), against Gil he is completely weak because his NB can not counter Ea at all. In fact one could say Rider was made to just be defeated by Gil.

 

It has already been confirmed by both Nasu and Gen that if Gil ever got truly serious or did not get restrained by Tohsaka on that night, Gil would win the war in one night as there are only certain ways to kill him and even then he';s still extremely dangerous. You don't like him clones, that's fine. However it is heavily established that Gil is the most dangerous servant(Archer coming second) when they decide to fight seriously(even when fighting at half strength they still do better then most servants)

Relax, it was not my intention to force you to like the guy, just simply clarify that he isn't that one dimensional and hoping that you would agree with my points and see why. I already said that it is OK if you don't like him, but neither do I appreciate when someone states that a certain individual is generally bad simply based on biased opinion.
