We made both of these here. Anime influenced Western stuff is commonplace. There is hardly a difference to me.


One is significantly better than the other though. Cybersix is brutally underrated.
Seriously watch it. It's awesome.

Cybersix was an interesting show. I rather enjoyed it when I was younger.

Log Horizon is a very good anime, I think you'll enjoy it loads.

Especially the political part. Took me by surprise seeing as how it's the last thing I'd expect from a shounen about an MMO.

Not to forget its economical aspects, which I am sure Chewin will enjoy.

Anyhow, saw Valkyrie Chronicles anime, since my crappy PC can't run the game. Well I enjoyed it loads. Can't compare the two, but I'd say it is a good adaptation on a game.

I mean there has been worse adaptations.. I think.. possibly than VC but I'd be looking a long time for that. It's without a question miles worse than the game, not even close

So I've heard, but it is certainly not a bad anime. It does capture its characters and themes just well enough for the narrative to flow, and it has some good action scenes.

Though I've heard that gameplay has a lot to do with the story in the game, so that might be it.

Log is pretty brief on many aspects but manage to at least head into them for the most part well enough to be believeable. S&W is without a question much better if one want economics in their show and there are going to be shows out there that does in elect areas but Log is just a nice easy mix that work better than anticipated

The Persona 4 anime was definitely better and even that one wasn't that good, mostly in terms of aesthetics and other factors.. the VC anime suffered from the same. It's just rubbish. If there is one anime-product, partially based on a game I like, then it'd be the Vesperia movie, but mostly because it functions as a prequel to the game which works really well.

My issue is how it re-write a few character to the degree that it's getting ridiculous. Alicia is not a damn tsundere, Welkin is not nearly as dense as the show make him out to be and Isara is better than that. 

 

As an anime it's not terrible but as an adaptation I will not say nicer things about it than terrible.

Starting to really appreciate General Ouki. The aura he carry and that good laugh he got set him apart a great deal from other characters. Pretty amazing design overall and he's supplied me with lots of cavalry and that's just

Oh believe me, when April is here I'm gonna close myself off from society and drown in all kinds of pleasures. Though House of Cards will be on top of my list for things to tackle. I've been waiting for season 3 close to a year now!

 

Heh, I think we can already establish at this point that LOGH is the pinnacle of political conflict in anime. But cool to hear that Log Horizon has something of such caliber in it. Looking forward to it.

Yet despite being a brute--which is a character trait I tend to loathe--Gatts is quite a functional protagonist within the series. This is primarily strengthened by a very solid backstory, which took several causes and aspects into account not only in terms of characterization but narrative flow as well, so I am very curious (now that I'm back into the "current timeline") what kinds of turns the story will take now.
