The story of The Tatami Galaxy follows an unnamed third year university student in Kyoto, Japan and what he views as his wasted time in a particular club (also called "circle") at his university. He meets Ozu, another student, whose encouragement sets him on a mission of dubious morality. He contemplates his affection for a second year engineering student, Akashi, and makes promises to her, usually of and within a romantic subtext. Trust and Betrayal is the best samurai anime bar none. Trust me, if you like vagabond you'll probably like it.
It's a prequel to kenshin, and it actually adapts a flashback arc from kenshin manga.
The animation is great except for some Cgi, but it came out in 1998.
This is one of the anime you shouldn't watch in dub. It was cheap plus this one is set in Japan so yeah.
It's a very sad tale and its a tragedy with romance, action and Betrayal. Easily a 9/10 or 10/10.
It is differ from samurai champloo. It isn't light hearted and has no comedy. It's a subtle serious and emotional ova.
