Yeah I guess they count, still Smoker, Aokiji, Sengoku, Garp, Kuma and Mihawk feel more white than grey, and Akainu feels black. But water is pure evil.

So I'm in the middle of the Fishman Island arc...
I never thought I'd be saying this about One Piece of all things, but I am completely bored so far. Also, Sanji is incredibly annoying in this tbh. His nosebleeds keep dragging the crew down. That's quite counterproductive, man! ;

Fishman Island kind of sucks, I would even go as far to say it's the worst arc of the series.
It still has good parts but the arc after is much better, and that arc is not even done yet!
And yeah Sanji sucks nowadays.<_<

I think the main problem with the arc was Oda really wanted to get to the New World, fast. So the arc ended being a fast-paced mess.
When you are done the arc, we can talk about the other problems.

The director of the opening didn't give a sh!t about the series and is an a-hole who beats up people(even women) who work for him.Galvanization wrote...

Toei made up for it by having the next opening fit the mood of the arc, and the band who did the song were fans of the series.
As for the anime as a whole, it's okay(if you can get past filler episodes) up to the Skypea arc, then the pacing starts to get bad, but still watchable... But as it goes on, it really gets bad. Don't forget what Toei did with DBZ.

Really? In my opinion the Fishmen Island arc was waaaaaaaaaaaay to long and waaaaaaaaaaaay to dragged out. Mind you that I only watch the anime, I haven't read the manga for a while now.
But if we're talking about the anime, I'd say that Fishmen Island should have been shorter. In my opinion the arc sucked because it was dragged out too much.
Also, Sanji doesn't suck, he's just slightly less awesome than he used to be. He's still awesome though.

Well that's the anime, the Toei anime. Remember how planet Namek was going to blow up in 5 minutes? So yeah...
Sanji nowadays is in perv mode all the time, and he has too many out of character moments. So I really don't think he is awesome right now. His character can still be fixed tho.

They did implied it, but the only time they showed the kiss was in one of the flashbacks in a later episode.
