[Some Geth]

Digimon Adventure is good. I like that the characters don't really fit the into the everyday "anime character tropes" or normal "Japanese families".

Adventure 02 is sh!t. Bad characters, bad writing, an infamously awful ending. The only good stuff is Ken and episode 13(guess who wrote that one).

Tamers is great, very different from the first two shows, but I would say it is the best Digimon show.

Frontier is pretty good. The final big bad is a Lucifer-themed Digimon with Freeza's voice actor.

Savors sucks.

Xros Wars has its moments but overall it is Toei's answer to Gurren Lagann.

I agree with all of this, besides Savers. (I haven't seen much of Xros Wars)

Savers has some really good Ideas. 
Digi-Soul IMO is the best Digivolution medium in the series it really showed how much Digimon need human partners.
Savers did the child raised by animal plot really well, it's just a shame that Savers had the worst Digital World I've seen.
Those three evil Digimon users that parodied Frontier were good villains.

My main problem with Savers are the heroes and the villains and the last half of the plot

Besides the jungle kid and the three evil Digimon users I didn't like anyone in the show.
And the last part of the plot with Yggdrasill and the Royal Knights felt out of place with this series.

Savers had some problems, but I don't think it sucked.

As to insane anime, well, Gantz and Air Gear are such. And I love those for that overpowering abnormal insanity.

Not much substance though (as opposed to Lain, EVA and Perfect Blue), lest you interpret something out of Gantz or something (I did... kinda)!
