Err... maybe?
It's a very bitter sweet ending.
Personally I think Anohana is SLIGHTLY above Clannad in that it accomplishes just as much, if not more, in such a short time.
Anyway, it's a great 11 episode anime... so yeah, go watch it.
I still bawled.
But that's me.
I'm a wimp when it comes to anime/games/series/books.

My friends and I, being the kids that we are, used to take the p*ss out of this one.
It's a very sad book.
But English Lit class is boring at times and a laugh at the expense on another's misery is the foundation of human *******-ness xD

I hear ya. Being forced to read a book and expect to give a damn doesn't always go hand in hand. Been in that position myself.
I haven't watched Clannad or Angel Beats yet but I don't think Anohana was sad at all.
A show about a loli dying who later reappears as a ghost to have her wish granted so that she can go to the afterlife, wasn't sad for you?
What happened to Yandere Angel?
(I'm joking of course. Haven't seen the show myself).

I also watched ano-hana, or maybe half of it.. did not necessarily find it the same sadness level of Clannad. I'm not honestly sure why it got rather highly rated in several areas, aside from the fact that it certainly wasn't embarrassing or anything like that.
