Well true, though I always prefer more gray characters. I understand Demon possession, but he doesn't seem to be under one.
Farnese perhaps isn't a villain, but I don't see what she brings to the table or why she has such a large focus, other than seeing her naked.

It's a long series.
The entire Golden Age arc is a frickin' flashback.
These are long-ass arcs that take their time.

Nah.
Watch those after you're done cos the OST and fights scenes are awesome.
And watching the anime is... well... not a mistake, per se.
But refer to Dominus' post for reference.
You're missing out on a whole ton of stuff because it was just too much for the anime to actually show.
Oh and you'll miss awesome

Gotten into Berserk, and you guys were right, it's bloody awesome!
Currently on the arc with the tower. Enjoying it, though not much the antagonists. The priest is just needlessly evil and Farnese is quite a poor character and doesn't interest me at all.
Hoping for it to be over soon.
The real antagonist of that arc is pretty amazing IMO but I agree the priest didn't do it for me either..
Farnese is better then she initially comes off.
But yeah the tower arc is probably my favorite overall.

The anime is greatly inferior to the manga IMO but that's just me. The films are a bit better. Both have great OST's though.

Anyhow, got earlier from work today and decided to catch up with some anime (haven't watched since January). Two episodes of Ghost in the Shell and two Gintama (one serious and one for laugh). Well Gintama blew me away...

I didn't even get to Stardust yet but I knew it was JoJo.
Would've been funnier if I saw Stardust first though and would've gotten the Oraoraoraoraoraora and Stand references.

Really happy I didn't pick up Gintama at all until this late just because I would've already as early as I am into the show missed quite a few references and that would've just sucked!
