Legend of Galactic Heroes is definitely to be considered, but I'm gonna be careful with the presumable heavy hitters like that one and Lain for now until I finish writing on Steins Gate. I'd like for something funny, without not being too whacky, though I might continue with Gintama.

 

Speaking of Gintama. I particularly enjoyed that part with the talking rooster in a bar, in regards to Kagura asking him for the whereabouts of a missing daughter of a nobleman.. He doesn't recognize her so he asks whether she has a name, then she's like "Ham.. Hammy?". He then gets all overly dramatic and outraged, saying that's a lie, questioning who in their right mind would give their child a name like that. It's his expressions that really nailed it.

Finished Toradora -- A short compendiary of my feelings about it can at best be described as such: It's an intriguing romantic-drama that treats its characters with care and respect, and subtlety avoids the usual trappings with the worst of the genre. The chemistry is nice and it understands some of the most engaging traits of a good love story. The chase, a bona fide understanding of human interaction and chemistry, how who we fall in love with isn't always up to our conscience mind to decide. What I do miss and liked about Clannad was the chance to see the growing relationships develop to the next level. Get a grander insight on what happens "After Story" after the guy got the girl. A minor issue that ultimately doesn't hold it back from being really, really good. Hopefully there are more animes like that out there, but I'd have to see for myself at some other point. Disregarding that I felt the developing love story was on par with that of Steins Gate, whereas in this case it was more or less central to the narrative, and in Steins Gate's case it was a means of providing layers to the characters involved.

 

I've already written a lot about Stein's Gate but I feel there's a lot to say about Toradora as well.

One thing that I absolutely love about Toradora! is that it didn't puss out by leaving everything open ended for a sequel or by trying to please everyone

it chose to have Ryuji and Taiga end up together. Instead of leaving things to the viewers imagination to where fans of Ryuji and Minorin ending up together could be like "well, he could have ended up with Minorin". A lot of anime has it to where the protagonist is torn between multiple women and doesn't choose any of them at the very end of the series in an attempt to keep all of the viewers pleased (at least that's what I believe) and it p***** me off because I view it as a complete cop out.

 

 The chemistry between the characters is also amazing, but the fact that the people involved in the show stuck to their guns and didn't bother trying to please everyone really makes me love the show. That's one of the things that I really enjoyed with Golden Time as well, they don't do popular and proven things, they do the things that they want to do.

I about die of laughter every time Revy opens her mouth. Eda has also grown on me exponentially. I love their friendship. It's freaking hilarious.

Done with Hyouka and it was a pleasant surprise considering it wanted to deal with more everyday mysteries. Found it actually more enjoyable to watch just because for once the mystery wasn't about something ridiculous like "a fire breathing cat with 3 legs" or some dark curse. It was more about why did this one book get loaned by a new student every friday and returned the same day. It's a very calm and relaxing show and once I got used to the slow speed it wanted to have it was rather pleasant to watch and at times the episodes flew by. It managed to do proper character growth, especially on the protagonist which is one of the main reasons why the show surprised me in a good way. Too rare to find it done well!

 

The lack of an actual ending is "perfect" if they ever wanted to do a second season but if no second season come then the ending is non-existant!

Legend of the galactic heroes. Episode 3 was pretty good and shows more about Yang's character. He was promoted and he is going back to war but he's a peaceful guy.

 

The PVC were aggressive and the Secretary of defense has a hint of deception to his character.

Back when I was like 5 or 6, I used to watch this anime at night (I think on Toonami ) and I remember that I really liked it. However, this was back when my jimmies were easily rustled, and after watching a scene where a guy got his arm bitten off, I stopped watching 

 

Trying to think back on it, the only things I could remember about it were 1. The protagonist was a redhead 2. It started with an "R" and 3. A dude gets his arm bitten off 

 

Fastforward to me at 18, browsing KissAnime, and I find this:

 Rurouni Kenshin

 

.......I immediately recognized it! This will be the next anime I watch ROFL

I also was the one that got in trouble when I was 8 staying up until 4 in the morning to watch Inuyasha.

 

2 shows I will never go back to. I remember liking, it, but I know it won't hold up to my memories of it. I also don't remember it enough to criticize it now.

 

Old habits die hard, I went to bed at 5:00 last night after watching Kancolle(curry contest episode) and playing Grisaia.
