Episode 11. Plotting from the Marquiese. Flegel helped her but made sure he was never caught. 

The punishment of suicide through poisoned wine seems brutal, even worse since it is never told to the public that the Marquiese was killed that way.

 

Episode 12. The politicians debated and voted on an invasion. Phezzan is still supplying the Empire with info on the war.

This new guy, commodore Fork, from the FPA is greedy and is the one that made the plans to invade the empire. Yang is disappointed because he thought the plan wouldn't go through.

30 million FPA and 200,000 ships are going to invade the empire and Reinhard is the one they're going against.

 

Episode 13. Sentimental episode that shows that the people of the Empire are also affected by war and it also fleshes out some new characters.

Reinhard's plan to exhaust the FPA's resources has started and it is becoming successful.

To be fair I haven't watched that much anime yet and I used to avoid the popular stuff because I get dissapointed easily.

I understand that feeling.

 

But I've found that older anime that's very popular is usually solid.

 

Probably it's had its time to brush off the hype and be properly evaluated.

 

It's the newer anime that gets hyped to f*ck that end up being utter sh*t.

 

Cowboy Bebop is sort of like... undisputed in how good it is.

 

Some claim it's the best, some claim it's simply very good.

 

Either way there's no 'middle ground.' Either you'll love it or you'll like it.

 

There's no hating that show unless you... well... have poor taste?

 

Don't like saying that. But Bebop is really quiet the show.

 

It's not like LOTGH, where one can easily be put off by it being really slow as hell with lots of dialogue etc...

 

A short, well told episodic story with thematic consistency, deep characters and an OST to kill for.

 

Also brilliant animation and subtlety.

 

Like when Faye introduces herself as a Gypsy for the lolz.

 

It's not that significant when you first here it, but it's really clever after you explore her character further.

 

Just to clarify, I don't think that way anymore.

 

I mean I'll get to it eventually but I have so much stuff on my watch and plan to watch list that it will probably take a while.

 

But you know what sim? Your enthusiasm has finally got to me and I'll start watching an episode of gintama every day  .

I saw the animelist from some members in this thread a few months ago and I assumed that they watched a lot of anime but know that I think about it, it was probably the time they had spent watching anime that was a lot more than mine.

It's possible to dislike or hate Cowboy Bebop.

It does have a weak main story, weak character development, depending on who you are you might dislike it's episodic format. It is also a bit over the top.

 

I disagree, LOGH isn't slow. It just has boring action.

I found bebob good. Not great or amazing just good. I'm still completely unsure why. I did like the ending though that was quite well done.

I actually dropped bebop because it doesn't get good until the 5th episode. Afterwards It was one of my favorite anime.

I prefer Baccano to bebop but I would put them on the same level.

They're both still better than Black Lagoon though.
