I thought Lucy was a cool character. It's too bad she only showed up in like 4 episodes and when she wasn't present she was replaced by Nyuu the annoying imbecile. I did not find it cute, not even in the first episode.

Yeah, there were a lot of things I didn't like, but I really liked Lucy's character. That's really what stands out about the series to me. She's not overly interesting in her personality or motivations but there is just something about her.

Not creepy enough I think (I love creepy shows, yet it's better if they're creative and ?overly? intellectual). Elfen Lied felt a bit stale (the writing, Nyuu thing, art-style and such).

As to Magi - I disliked the anime, but now got into the manga. The manga really does things differently and holds pretty high standards thus far.
My only problem with it is as with most manga - I don't get ambience in them. Music and slow scenes in anime usually accounts for that. But in reading Magi, I suddenly realized that main characters were running through a maze with smiles upon their faces and really no portrayal of more "underneath" emotional states and inner experiences. Things go forward too fast and thus make it a not-so-very-believable experience. I can't relate or "live through" it, as there's mostly nothing more to live through other than running around smiling.
Though that may be an overall problem. The series is a bit too lighthearted and "fun" for me I guess.
It's cool to see a drawing-style sometimes similar to mspaint/9gag stuff, but as these themselves, it gets simply annoying.
