Oh my, Kaichou wa Maid sama episode three, after Usui just saw Misaki take a falling ladder to her arm. Gets worried, wants to treat the bruise, how does he approach Misaki?
*corners her like an aggressive pervert* -> "Strip ..."
LOL!
And that ending, oh boy ...
Damn.

6/10 for Alucard scenes.
Now to watch JOJO and then... without further delay.
Hunter x Hunter.

So I just finished watching a compare and contrast video of the two dubs for Rurouni Kenshin and I'm floored by the differences in quality for both dubs.
This fight with Saito was the pivotal moment for the entire series, but Sony butchered it with lame edits and awful voice acting (3:02). Now I have to watch the entire series again since I didn't know there was another dub, woe is me or maybe not.
did you watch trust and betrayal though?

Anyhow, exam week starts tomorrow and House of Cards is up, so THIS time I'll take a short break from anime. Then I'll finish GitS and start with Log Horizon somewhere in March.
You're still with that?
Damn xD

I wonder what colour it'd be.
Blue or black?
KLK is probably one of those shows that I won't be watching. Nothing about it seems to interest me, but I am sure that it is great.
*takes cover from any incoming attacks*
Sounds intriguing. Going to add this to my list.
Appreciate the detailed summary.
You're very much welcome -- It's safe to say that it's unlike any anime, of the sort, I've watched before and it feels distinctively tailored to my interests, if anything. All the characters are essentially emotionally challenged people, whom are trying to lean on each other for emotional gratification for their loneliness. It's both creepy (in a good way), sad and sometimes funny in the.. dark Breaking Bad sort of way.

I did and loved it.

That sounds very familiar.
Damn double post.
Yeah, I'd rather sit down and watch a couple of episodes rather than just one per few days. Gintama is easier that way with its episodic format, plus giving me a laugh after a stressful day is easier for me than jumping into GitS. Can't seem to focus properly what is going on and I get just frustrated and end up rewatching certain episodes.
Uuh, BB you say? You peeked my interest even further. Will definitely then push to experiencing it sooner rather than later.
Do not read 'TOO much' into that comparison. In a lot of ways, my comparison were more or less made to draw a perspective between the anime's approach to comedy, in a similar fashion to shows like Breaking Bad. You're laughing at things, which in ordinary circumstances, wouldn't be considered funny.. an example could be 'laughing at the protagonist's' unfortune, especially in regards to his anxiety of socializing with the outside. It shifts between being light-hearted and provocative, like Fight Club or American Psycho, which are probably stronger comparisons, due to their apt social commentary on yuppie and consumer culture, whereas in Welcome to the NHK, it's based arounnd the cultural phenomenon known as "hikikomori". It is a show that skillfully avoids moralization and clumsy allegory and instead makes a dramatically satisfying and personal story out of a widespread but largely unacknowledged occurrence. In spite of the occasional comic moment it is, for the most part, also an uncompromising piece whose unvarnished realism can sometimes make it difficult to watch. But if one can put this reservation aside, I think that anybody who enjoys biting critiques and fascinating character studies will find it to be a worthwhile view.
Oh, and I highly, highly, recommend the dub of NHK as Chris Patton is excellent as Säto. There's no sparing on the 'bad' language whenever it's uttered by the characters. He's the gentleman who voiced the first Greed in FMA:B if that helps. ![]()

Yeah I get that, and tbh, back during my exam period I couldn't watch FATE/ZERO without scratching my head.
Seriously, I didn't know wtf was happening. That's how bad it was.
So I dropped it for later (and thank god for that.)
I think when he gets a proper chance to check in, Isi's going to be super pleased that you're enjoying Welcome to the NHK, Chris.
I must admit that the line Tsar bolded of your commentary very much resonates with me too. Chris Patton is a fantastic VA for sure. He voices the dubbed version of Fakir in Princess Tutu, and that's one of those series where I personally prefer the dub.
Almost done season 1 of Black Lagoon. I'm probably going to just jump right into season 2. Like I was telling Isi last night, as much as I adore the sort of series that my brain gets obsessive over, sometimes it's just fun to sit down and watch something that's just straight up entertaining.
