I just started watching Btooom! a few hours ago. Nice looking show. The premise reminds me of a Stone Cold movie I saw.

It is hard enough to make fun of a comdey series like Dragon Ball, but that is not how you do it.

Now TeamFourStar did it right. It helps that they actually you know, watched the show and know their stuff about the series.

Usually, anything relating to bodily functions is considered vulgar. Dragon Ball's own sense of humor can be considered vulgar, although less to in the tv edit for the US.

There's a certain difference between vulgarity and obscenity, though.

I would have compared it to Ren and Stimpy in a way, if the makers of Ren and Stimpy used rape and offensive black caricatures as sources of humor. Ren and Stimpy is certainly immature and vulgar in its own way, but as far as I know, they managed to be (extemely) irreverent without being douches. Even if that's all it was though, it might feel a little distasteful and needless to do that kind of parody to Dragon Ball. If your main source of humor is shock value that really has nothing to do with the series you're parodying... just why?

I didn't really have a problem with the second video lotion posted tbh, that was just silliness.

Pointlessness and shock value stuff (And really stupid stuff) is where I draw the line.

Oh and that Dragonzball P video is silly in a good way.

Utterly subjective.

I for example, consider the Dragonball P video funnier and more entertaining than the entire Dragonball franchise.

As far as "offensive black caricatures go"..people project and see what they want to see. Freiza is an alien FFS, so just because they voice him in that way doesn't make it vulgar.
I mean - what is so vulogar about it? Someone please explain it to me.

So are you intentionally ignoring the obvious stereotype in that video you posted? Not that it got under my skin (I'm not sure if I'm obligated to feel offended or not), but I can see what other people could have a problem with.

Manson did a lot of stuff against religion. Well, not lyrically but he did with his image. Nine Inch Nails relied heavily on shock value lyrics and imagry when they first started. I just find it odd that you kind of called him out for posting a video that really wasn't that offensive in the first place. Especially since you weren't offended by it.
