I have to say I'm a little disappointed in Japan. According to Kotaku, Japanese website Charapedia took a poll and compiled a list of the top 20 coolest women in anime. And it doesn't include Furude Goddamn Rika. You done goofed, voters.

What I found more alarming was Touka Kirishima's spot at #11. (Tokyo Ghoul.) Tokyo Ghoul doesn't have cool female characters. It doesn't have cool male characters. Everything about that show is boring. Somehow, they even made cannibalism boring, I mean wtf.

I've told you this before but Dexter is the reason I now have tv show commitment issues when they're still in syndication. I didn't spend eight years of my life waiting for those final few seasons trainwreck it became.

*starts singing* ~I'm a lumberjack and that's OK! I work all night and I sleep all day~

Yeah, Dexter is my prime example for that in western shows. The first few seasons and then a few of the middle ones were great and then it just kind of crashed and burned. You know if they had some idea of what they wanted to do with it from the start this wouldn't have been an issue. I don't expect shows to have everything planned out 100% but at least have some idea of where you want to take it before the end.
