You know... I haven't started Roberta's OVA just yet but I've spent a chunk of today just kind of mulling over Yukio and Rock's conversations regarding being in the light, dark, or stuck in between in the twilight. I mean I love in general when the series touches on various philosophies but this one ended up hitting me a lot harder than I was expecting. For all I ramble about it being an easy watch (and it still is), season 2 gives an awful lot to think on.

 

I might write some more on it all as a whole after I finally tackle the last OVA but I just felt I'd sneak in and say I'm rather pleased that I am getting thinky thoughts from a series I originally got into to have a good time.

While I admit I found myself shaken when Gretal met her end since I wasn't expecting such a snap move (though Benny's words sure were right), Yukio's end hit me *really* hard. Ginji's too. Long story short, the Yakuza arc was amazing.

OVA is awesome. For many reasons.

X3! Well I definitely do plan to start it soonish. I did some spoiler free research about it and apparently it covers an arc in the manga that some people felt went on for too long, so maybe the OVA will improve on that part.

I think that scene confirmed Rock as gay. Either that or he is really accustomed to Revy's nakedness (If that's the case, what the hell Rock!!!).  I remember reading somewhere that at some point Rock makes comments either towards or about Chang that can be seen as homosexual, but I don't remember it and I haven't got around to re-watching Black Lagoon to find out.

Not really. It's the reboot thing that so far hasn't left Aincrad so it's still at the good part of the series. I will only judge you if you keep reading after it fucks up horribly. Though since it's a reboot who knows it might not **** up they might even make the fairy dance arc good. *shrugs*

Remove the war arc. Remove tentacles. Remove attempted rape. Have Kirito get captured instead and have Asuna, Sugua and all the underdeveloped characters from Aincrad save him. That fixes like most of the problems. Hell getting rid of Mary sue cutts down like 85% of the problems.
