Well that say the pen is mightier than the sword, so I guess that is kinda threatening.

 

Anyhow, didn't manage yesterday to sit down and watch Berserk: Descent, so gonna get to it right now. Can't wait, that teaser gave me goosebumps...

I nominate:

 

Tadanobu Asano as Yang Wenli, and Choi Seung-hyun as Reinhard (ok he is Korean but he would nail that role). Both phenomenal actors in Asian TV / Film. Love their work.

Let's put it this way: as a movie adaptation, they serve just fine enough to "complement" the manga. But as a standalone trilogy in filmmaking? Yeah, it's pretty bad. I could never appreciate this if I hadn't read the manga.

Oh. Gintamas opening is different. That's mildly disappointing.

This one doesn't get me pumped at all.

 

There are few as good as Pray (first OP.)

 

But you grow to love them all.

 

I nominate:

I'd have put Reinhard into a non-asian role seeing as most of the Empire are... well... Germans/Prussians/whatever.

Screw you Clones.

 

 

Now I'm doing this thing all over again (listening to Gintama tracks, that is.)

 

One thing I love about Gintama is that the setting becomes really familiar with you. It's like, you know the hub (Edo) like the back of your hand.

 

Stuff like that is missing in anime.

 

That feeling you get when you come back from whatevethef*ckyou'redoing and see the Yorozuya Gin-chan sign with funny-ass dialogue over it <3

KissAnime isn't working.

TheAnime isn't working

AnimeCheck is working but Gintama isn't on there. Though I could get a jump on iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls if I felt like it.

So that sucks.
