I can't stand the Caster duo in FZ.
Especially not after somebody showed me the FZ manga.

I was spoiled by Robe-chan, so all he did was disappoint me big time.
Unfortunately my knowledge on Rais is superficial at best, so can't comment much on that. But I did like how he complemented Ryuunosuske (or however you spell it) with his pious views and murderous nature. Even though they are the worst duo in the show, they are hardly terrible characters each and I like how they work as a "catalyst" of sorts within the narrative to portray the worst case scenario of contenders in the Grail War.
Yeah, Zero is one of my favorite anime for a reason. They get so many things right on so many levels.
I'll also admit that my knowledge of Rais is barely existing. The dude just happened to exist in an era I'm not the most interested in but by going how well Fate has treated other characters I'm going to guess he was given at least a solid portrayal.
All bro needs is his wealth of wit!
Indeed, oh so much fun that I can have with that alone!

Oh just wait till the second half of UBW(Caster does even further damage) and HF. What some people have plotted and set into motion makes Bluebeards stunt a little game.
Errr, not sure what to think of that ![]()
I actually have a larger respect for pairs who manage to fight and accomplish things with as little collateral and interaction with the "outside world" as possible. Caster being subtle and not killing makes me appreciate her more, but having her go even "bigger" than Bluebeard sounds more troublesome than impressive.
Eh, I'll see it for myself in a month.

Oh don't worry, the damage she causes is towards the other masters. She just does somethings that make her a much bigger threat to the other masters while still making sure not to kill non-masters.

So robe-chan being robe-chan but being even more awesome than the usual robe-chan
I approve
All this hate.
Makes this place....
Kind of Blue.

I'm a genius in the making.
I've never once doubted that! ![]()

Heh, well at least they have given me further reason to read upon them. Don't know since when I've been as motivated reading through poems and folklore when it comes to Gil, Chu Chuilann and Diarmuid. Still on Medea, though the book is collecting dust at the moment...

At this point, I wonder why I continue to needlessly worry that Fate won't deliver...
Some of these anime you people mentioned lately go to these genres:
Masochistic
Sadistic
Psychopathic
You're a bunch of Hentai! Soka... Yosh?!

Chewin still bitter over lack of autonomous representation in Phezzan.
Stupid LOTGH playing with his feelings!

Hisoka is a genre all on his own.
God I love that man.

Probably because of the Fate route.

I didn't know much about him either. I had only heard the name like once before and during Fate/Zero I decided to look up some info around the guy.

A reason why my LOGH blog series will only be four parts instead of five.
*pouts*
Totally understandable, my friend.
Happens a lot to old people.

I'm quite a pessimist when it comes to stuff like this.

Once I learned about Medea I instantly started reading up on her for obvious reasons and just as you say.. there are a few other worthy of being read upon and I've had the benefit of doing so on a couple while in class.
History eff yeah!

The Fateverse.
Encouraging people to read more history and broaden their horizons since year 2004!
With boobs and erotica on the sideline...

History has always been one of my favorite classes so learning more about historical characters through anime is a win win!

Started watching Soul Eater today (on ep 5 atm) and I'm really enjoying it. So far my favorite is Death the Kid. I love his obsession with symmetry, not to mention he seems to be a total badass.

Yes.
Soul Eater is good. Too bad after the first half the quality drops somewhat.
But not enough to make you drop it.
Just not as superior as the first half.
Hope you're watching dubbed.
Soul Eater dub is fantastic.
Skip the Arthur episodes... they're annoying xD
To be honest, Fate is quite accurate with its portrayal on history. E.g. Gilgamesh is pretty much taken directly from the Poem, Rider is probably one of my favorite depictions of Alexander b/c while it is bombastic, it is in fact very true to the source material (Alexander as a historical figure is quite exaggerated, and his more "unfavorable" attributes and characteristics are ignored or downplayed). Rider is basically what a lot of historians believe is how Alexander behaved, especially during his later years (since he suffered from megalomania that had a great influence on him).
Of course it isn't perfect (they play with the Arthur legend more than simply a gender swap), but I lift my hat to Fate doing quite an original, interesting and largely accurate take on their characters.
I've mentioned Lovecraft right?
Double checking the Wiki I found me some interesting things.
Bluebeards book isn't even a real thing. There's no "Text of R'lyeh" in any of Lovecrafts works.
And even if it was I have no clue how he'd get hold of it. Considering R'lyeh has been at the bottom of the Pacific ocean for over 1000 years.
Trust me. I could go on about this forever.
