Point 1: the Original has no Greedling, Fu, Lan Fon, General Olivier Armstrong, Captain Buccaneer, Major Miles, etc.....That's enough of a reason not to watch

Alright, so I don't watch much anime. But I have seen the first "season" (box set) of Death Note. I really enjoyed it and got the second series. I'm really not liking Near. At all.

I actually like the first series myself, though I do personally consider Brotherhood to be much better.

OMG! Death Note is awesome! Well, the first arc, that is. Gotta admit the series got weaker the moment Near and Mello show up. Not because I want Light to win (he's a criminal, afterall), but the story just gets weaker and too complex to still be able to follow. And yeah, there have been times I wanted to manually strangle Near. So. Much.

I know right?! The first arc blew my mind! Don't get me wrong I liked Season 2, but Mellow and Near were not even close to being as cool as L. Also I love complex stories, but I was just like  after they got involved. Also I"m torn about Light. I didn't want him to win because he was freaking insane, but I did because let's be honest he was pretty cool. Not because of his desire to kill people, I mean because of his intelligence and stuff like that. I know....I'm a bad person

And yeah...I wanted to strangle Near too. I literally screamed at the TV "Stop trying to be L you little creep!" Yeah.....I yell at the tv......I don't have a problem....shut up

To each their own then I suppose. Brotherhood gave me the feels far more times than the original tho..

Once every full moon I take on another DBZ episode. I've come to see 170 episodes, and I must say the last three - Sons coming back and all the "filler" thus far, taking place before Cell Games - have been truly in the vein of the original glory. They're great!
