I always found the third opening for the show to be rather catchy

Only anime series that has a complete story I've seen is iDOLM@STER.

 

Not because I love it, and think people should watch it.

 

But every character gets their time in the limelight, with full arcs and such, leading up to a satisfying conclusion, and epilogue in the form of the Movie.

 

Unless I missed what this conversation is about.

 

Maybe watching nothing but DBZ for the past 2 days is taking a bigger toll on me than expected.

That does remind me that I still haven't checked out Trigun's manga. Maybe I will one of these days cause I've also kind of been vaguely toying with the idea of rewatching the series.

There's a show called K-on! that I think you would enjoy. It's about four high school girls who form a music club in school. It's a really fun anime, they find ways to make the focus not always be about the music, it's really just 4 girls having a great time. It reminds me of PMMM at times. I think K-on! might have been what invented moe, but I'm not sure. One thing that is interesting about the show is the lack of male characters, I think it was episode 5 when I first saw a male character. The show is entirely female centered and focuses on the lead girls (not a bad thing at all).  

 

I haven't finished it yet, but I can't wait to dive into the sequel, K-on!! and the manga to see their adventures continue.

Art style always put me off unfortunately.

I was put off by it, so I wasn't going to watch it, but Just My Moniker recommended it to me and because of that I watched it. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and have even come to like the art style. It's something that grew on me over time, like The Clone Wars art style (which I used to think was the dumbest looking thing and have ended up liking. Maybe not the best example, but it's the one I can immediately think of).

Yes, it's also comedic at times, but being slice of life seems to be its main focus.
