Watched the Battle of the Gods movie, and it was awesome!
 
Beerus is certainly a refreshing villain in the DBZ universe and was certainly the highlight in the movie for me. In addition to it featuring some top notch humor with the characters along with the battles (though rather few in my taste) managed to prove entertaining, I got everything and more than what I expected from a DBZ movie and I am satisfied.
 
Think I'll have to grab the Xenoverse game earlier than I expected, cause I am hungry for some more DBZ.

I'm out of likes (somehow) but I'm glad you enjoyed it! Well it does feel like a DBZ movie in many ways (which is not entirely a bad thing) I think it felt fresh in some aspects. It had a much more fun and less serious tone then some of the other ones too.

Considering I haven't watched / read anything DBZ related since, I dunno 2009 maybe(?) so it was kind of a "reunion" for me watching the movie with all the characters, and certainly made it better since the it was a continuation of the manga story (though where the hell was Uub?).

Battle of Gods is set after Buus destruction. But before Uub shows up.

Same with Resurrection of F.

 

Not like Uub would've changed the outcome though.

He was worthless in GT.

Little spoilered aside about Roberta's Blood Trail cause I did a little research on the manga and have to lol a bit about MAL (that's usually always the case I find though...) This has manga spoilers for the arc too, so please read at your own risk.

So again, I haven't seen how things play out in the manga but I'm kind of amused to see people actually complaining about how fucked up Roberta is physically by the end of it, and apparently in the manga she's mostly fine. I don't know... I mean yeah, people in BL survive stuff that they shouldn't all the time, it's kind of part of the charm of the series for me but leaving a lasting impact on a character is fitting considering the whole arc. I suppose I'm just amused cause people are trying to say that MadHouse did it to destroy Roberta's character so she can't return later. Whereas I took it more to be she's now forced to find some peace.

 

Then I see people bitching about Rock's adventure into the dark and how it's so OOC. I guess I'm kind of amused because it really does make me wonder if a lot of folks assume people are simply one way always and forever. Maybe I just understood things differently but I kind of more or less took it for Rock taking some time on the other side to attempt to achieve what he couldn't by merely staying in the middle. I mean, half the reason he's so morose by the end of it is because even that little escapade didn't change things in a concrete way. For me it fits the character and setting just fine.
