So Fairy Tail has surprised me. I was expecting SAO line kind of bad, but this show is surprisingly good. Of course, it is possible it gets bad eventually, but for now I am having a blast with it!

While I abandoned the show quite early I never sensed that it really ever would be bad. Seems to be a show that will walk the line of average and mediocre for the majority of the time and that's really when it comes down to it quite alright. Having that kind of show to watch is a relief in of itself, safety of average

I mean, it is shonen to the core--it has some life lessons and "power of friendship beats everything" nonsense, but the characters and humor are great and what is mostly keeping me interested. Eh, more like a weaker One Piece in my opinion, except this show doesn't have a continuous storyline (unless it starts one along the way). Mostly b/c the art is familiar, the humor and the characters.

Not in a position to judge it yet, but if it keeps up how the first 20 episodes have been, then I will consider myself pleased. You can watch the first few episodes and see if it is to your liking.

Fairy Tail is ok and Happy is awesome. I will say at times later on in the series there will be episodes that seem like they were animated by high school students. Like every show it has high points and low points, but for the most part it manages to remain a ok series.
Edited: I think last I checked I was on Episode 150 or higher.

Well that is enough to satisfy me. Never expected anything great, and it being OK is good enough for me. Cheers!

I think anime artists have this policy:

 

To attract people from other parts of the world to Japan to marry with the Japanese, so they can have more genetically varied people in the future...  with colorful eyes and hairs.

I think the Japanese kinda find themselves "boring". You can't find many anime with the majority of the characters having black hair and black/brown eyes.

 

Edit:

My Region (middle east) has some similarity in colors with Japan (or Eastern Asia in general), but we have more diversity.

Like 60% of people here have black eyes. Other 20% are dark brown, 15% are lighter shades of brown or hazel and 5% are green and blue. Green and Blue colors are most wanted here! Having dat eye color is a privilege!
