I just finished Samurai Flamenco. Very interesting to watch 8/10.

It has 5 plot parts. Samurai Flamenco and Petty Crimes, Torture, From Beyond, Prime Minister, and the mad kid.

 

Falmengers were like Power Rangers. The Boss "Red Axe" was very cool.

Goto was the best character, a policeman voiced by Ginsan's VA.

 

The last episode was gonna be too weird, but thankfully it didn't went that direction!

Think this is the key to enjoy shows a la Fairy Tail. Low expectations and just be alright with not seeing the best of the best all of the time.

Indeed. Going in with low expectations, chances are even the smallest of aspects can turn to your enjoyment.

My binging habits are dependent on a few things as far as shows are concerned:

 

1) How much the show grabs me. If it gets its hooks in right, I throw caution to the wind and work through a series fairly quick. Case in point, BL didn't technically take me all that long to watch if you ignore the breaks I took from having a fairly wonky brain. But if something starts tickling the right spots in my brain, I tend to start ignoring time and just roll with it.

 

2) How emotionally devastating a series might be for me. If it starts getting real heavy, I have to step back and cool the binging til I even out. Then again those are the series I tend to think about more, as they stick with me if they're capable of bringing about some kind of emotional reaction. I guess it makes me laugh a bit because I'm not typically good at watching simple fluff series. or maybe I should say I'm not one to search them out. I like being mentally engaged, but feel good sorts of series definitely do help in the times I can't get my head to focus.

 

Really the most time consuming part is getting me to actually /start/ a series. But I'd say I usually tend to average around 3 or 4 episodes a day when I'm interested in something, mostly because I like to wait til the evening to watch things for atmospheric purposes. :3
