My thoughts as to why LOGH didn't grip me in the beginning and why less people probably don't pick it up.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes style is dry in comparison to other Sci-Fi i've experienced. The technology is so backwards for something that is set 1500 years in the future. The clothing seems like something out of the 20th or 21st century.

The voice acting feels almost lifeless most of the time and lots of characters sound the same

It's even worse that the anime studio chose to make each episode 24 minutes instead of 30 - 40 minutes since this was an OVA.

This is the main reason why I think this show is hard for people to get into it. A lot of other Sci-Fi series have something that you can see and makes you want to get into it, this show doesn't have anything on the surface that does that.

It's strongest points are in the dialogue, which I like.

Anybody that hasn't watched Based No Game No Life should get on that. I dropped it for like half a year but when I got back to it it was as dope as I remember.
